Thanks if I understand you correctly I have to insert the gif imagery into HTML commands. Never thought of that, I’m use to posting pictures and stuff on facebook, so much so that I forgot about having to use HTML commands on freerepublic. I rarely comment or post on freerepublic anymore.

You are certainly welcome and you do understand correctly.

PLUS, if you use HTML in a post, you must use HTML commands to separate paragraphs.

The only HTML process that you can include in a post that does not require you to use proper HTML commands is a LINK (it then becomes what is known as a HYPERLINK- which means it is done automatically). And that is only if you do not include ANY OTHER HTML commands in that post.

For instance, you cannot include a HYPERLINK and an IMAGE in the same post. If you need to use both, then You must then use the proper HTML commands for the LINK, HTML commands to separate paragraphs, etc.
