Need to also shut down and move and Federal Facilities, especially military bases to other states. This would hit California hard since they rely alot on several large military bases. Move them and their supporting civilian jobs to the nearest red state where they will be appreciated. This would devastate California’s already dying economy.

When the bratty kids got too old for a swat or to stand in the corner, or go to their room to cool off, I used the very best weapon I had at my disposal, MONEY!
A few days or weekends without any and no loan of the car keys, or other perks and ooola, like magic, the error of their ways became clear.
These recalcitrant mayors, governors or other elected liberals won't like having to meet their obligations without Uncle Sugar to refill the trough.
Those that continue to elect them do so for the same reason - free stuff, and they'll get mighty testy without all of their free stuff!

Trump has pledged federal help with the crime problem in Chicago. That help must come with strings attached. Trump’s not going to allocate federal funds to a problem that’s being undermined by local policies.

Shitcago gets nearly ONE BILLION DOLLARS in Federal money every year. Imagine the "budget hole" that Emmanuel and the Chicago city council will have to deal with once the Federal money stops flowing from the District of Corruption. That's Rahm's biggest nightmare. Why? Because there aren't enough WORKING PEOPLE PAYING taxes left living inside the city's borders to raise taxes on to "fix" that problem.
In fact, Emmanuel and the Chicago City Council couldn't raise taxes high enough to cover that kind of budget hole. If they were dumb enough to try (and I'm not suggesting they aren't dumb enough ...) certainly that would cause the current flood/exodus from the city to turn into a tsunami or better yet, an outright REVOLT against Emmanuel and the rest of the Chicago politicians complete with tar, feather, rope and hangings.
If I were Presdient Trump, I'd go one further than cutting off Federal money for "sanctuary cities." I'd do what I've long advocated for here on FR: Charge the mayors and politicians of every "sanctuary city" as criminals in every single crime committed by an illegal alien.
Start with San Francisco. Charge the Mayor of San Francisco as an accomplice in the murder of Kate Steinle. Do the same for the entire San Francisco City Council, the Police Chief, and every other politician in the State of California that looked the other way while criminal, illegal aliens poured across our border to sap the resources right out of this country.
Do that ONCE and the rest of these illegal "sanctuary cities" will quickly change their minds about welcoming criminal, illegal aliens.
We are at the apex of holding these horrible, corrupt (and worse) politicians accountable for the carnage they've inflicted on this country. It's high time we take advantage of it.
Drain the swamp in DC, drain the country of all illegal aliens, no matter where they come from, period.
I'm on the Illinois side of the Illinois/Indiana border. As soon as my divorce is finished hopefully in February, I'm moving across the border to Indiana. By doing so, I'll be putting anywhere from 8-10k back in my pocket EVERY YEAR just in property tax savings. If we could the money I'll save by not paying Illinois' repressive INCOME TAX which is on the verge of being DOUBLED in this state, that number goes up to 14-16k/year.
Financially speaking, anyone who stays in this state is flat out batshit crazy, just like my soon to be ex-wife.
To bad that won’t work in Memphis, our’s is black on black for most crime. Gang bangers. Not enough prisons, 1 juvy @ 150 beds 2 women’s rest men’s. Blacks serve 6 months less time.
