Unity is often discussed, but difficult to obtain and maintain. In 1964, Democrats unified around Civil Rights to create a winning coalition. That unity took guts, especially since it risked the last of the Southern Democrats.

This is where I stopped reading. If the kickoff line to reclaiming some kind of rightful ownership by Democrats is even justified, this line is complete horseshit. Nothing that follows can be believed.

That whining sound you hear is the death-rattle of failed Alinsky-esque attempts of the conversion of the USA to Marxism known as the Obama regime. The next subtle conversion will be an attempt at the integration of Shari’a into our culture under the guise of Progressive Democrat policies (case in point, the hijab-adorned Twat-Walk on the Mall run by Islamists). That will not go well either.
Yes, the Democrats should unite around the bleeding edge of so-called “civil rights” for perverts and mental cases in the bathroom with your 9 year old, they should double down on political correctness, and by all means: move to Utopias of progressive thought where they shall be safe ... because centralization of population vs decentralized political power has yet to be fully tested as a way to everlasting electoral dominance!

The Democratic Party now consists of mostly specialized groups: Feminists, Teacher-union players, BLM, gay agenda folks, anti-capitalists, university revolutionaries or Bernie-supporters, environmentalists, and some Latino community organizers.
Regular working-class Democrats? They’ve mostly walked away since the 1990s. Look at the 3,100-odd county landscape map from each election since 2000. The regular Democrat doesn’t see any future within the party. It’s strictly low-income counties and urbanized areas where you get Democratic votes.
The party is overwith. Unless they can crank out another high-volume unknown black guy to pump up folks with speeches....it’s over. Unless the party changes it’s focus and starts to talk about regular middle-class Democrats, tax breaks, and focus on mid-America....they aren’t taking back much of anything.
I’m not sure if the dimwits are that suicidal...maybe...but I would vote for the white chick who hates white people. She seems like the more likeable candidate, as when the Muzzie’s buddies start slaughtering their lovable hosts in Min-eh-soh-ta, Jesse the busybody won’t stick up for them!
And BLM came about due to police executing an innocent black man, yet here we are.

If they want us to believe civil rights were led by Ds they have to admit they are incompetent and/or lying. After 50 years they are telling us civil rights are just as bad for minorities now as in the 1950/60s. And most people can’t look at any city that’s been run by Ds over that time and say it’s been a success for minorities.

The new caste system for America is probably as complicated as India’s old caste system.
The Democrats codified the radical youth groups of the 60s, along with centrist white midwest blue-collar unionists, and playacted them for 40 years, while they won the White House primarily with white center-right southerners and had congress led by white establishment types from the north-east and California.
They managed to hold that circus together very well. I could not figure out as a teenager why blue collar workers were in the same party as Eco nuts or how southern Democrats got along with NE libs.
Well I suppose the dems knew that that wasn’t going to last anymore, so they now are embracing SJWs, BLM, radical Latino separatists, feminists, and Muslims....while excising white males, as a last-ditch effort to keep the party from complete collapse.
