Sean Spicer on Monday gave his first three questions as White House press secretary under President Donald Trump to conservative-leaning journalists.
The first question went to the New York Posts Daniel Halper, who is the author of Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine. The next two went to the Christian Broadcasting Network.
Sam Stein, a senior editor at the Huffington Post, live-tweeted the press conference, noting that the Associated Press typically gets to ask the first question at the White House daily press briefing.
MSM upset, talking about only Reuters, WAPO, AP etc having the ‘expertise’ to cover the White House. Disservice to the American people etc.
THey keep whinin’ about it and the AP may not get ANY questions!
I actually agreed with Mara Liasson the other day - she and someone else were talking about how the briefings should not be televised. They have become a ‘face time’ show for the cameras & Mara said that she knew some reporters who would not show up at the briefings if the cameras were turned off. She then added that she would not be one of them.
No cameras, no media ‘showboats’ - works for me.
And today a WH press secretary said that the President of the United States of America values ALL lives, whether born or Unborn!
It just keeps going on and on and on and getting better and better and better, without end!!!
“the Associated Press typically gets to ask the first question at the White House daily press briefing.”
Things change.
Ask those who were promised that “if they like their doctor, they can keep their doctor.”
Did they call Mother Jones and Slate? /lol
Spicer should rotate the reporters so that for about 5 weeks all the reporters are from different small town newspapers around the country and during the sixth week the reporters will be the maggots from the D.C./NY/LA axis of evil. Then start the rotation again.
Spicer let Acosta commit suicide on national tv.
Going forward with Skype communications would be a good opportunity to totally IGNORE and freeze out the jerks in the WH press room.
Tyler Durden should be in the Helen Thomas seat.
Do tell. I haven’t had a chance to see it.
It’s too bad that Tony Snow is no longer available.
Oh, it’s worth trying to find the video. At first, I was upset Spicer fell into CNN’s ploy but in the end Jim’s tirade just made him look the fool. He asked Spicer about the crowd numbers again and again and again and again and again. He never let up. It went on for several minutes.
Tony’s services were needed in a larger venue.
I partly watched but mostly listened to the youtube video of this. Did he take any questions from OAN (One America News)? I don’t recall hearing that name mentioned.
I liked when he said he would be taking questions via SKYPE from reporters that are 50 miles or more away from the DC bubble that aren;t influenced by DC group think and hopefully then the press will get a clue.
Great first working press briefing. This guy has them under control.
> Why would the Ass. Press go first (except out the door...)?
No doubt it is the Helen Thomas endowed chair.
