You got me curious, so went pokin' around the net.
Bravo ! You were right on the money .. 1957 A-C .. fuel tank shape, battery box, control locations, tail light; all fit.

Uncle ended up with it .. plowed/planted lotsa acres of soybeans, and brush hogged for years.
Sure nothin' fancy about it, but it ran like a beast.

"Those orange machines made me recall this pic of me and grandpa on the farm about 1957-ish. Think it was some model of Ford, but not sure cuz my notes from the time are kinda scribbly ;-)"

I see that 1955 Chevrolet car sitting there in the back ground.

What was old, is now new again.
Look at the old Ford tractors. Basic. Cheap. Fix at home.
And can be rebuilt endlessly.

Amen, I bought my 1941 9N Ford Ferguson, use the heck out of it. Cost me $2k. Tried and true workhorse.

The video lists the machine as a hay baler, but it looks like a threshing machine, with the sound of a 2 cylinder JD running it.

I used to live near Fyffe. The area could sure use some jobs - hope this catches on.

This configuration had been around since maybe the 1920’s.

Yes, there's the tail end of one on the left, in the first photo...Allis Chalmers I think.

Find a decent used John Deere model B and you’re in business.

Picking cotton is one of my earliest memories. That was when we lived down near the Ala. line. Over years I lived all over Tenn and Ala Plus 6 other states. Not military family, just hard times.

At 73, I agree about the memories.
