Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump's former campaign manager and now White House senior counsel, noticed that two prominent people were absent from the Women's March on Washington on Saturday: Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Instead, they were on the inaugural stage applauding and welcoming President Trump. She pointed out the fact during an interview on ABC this weekend.

Despite declaring himself a "feminist" at last year's White House State of Women Summit, Obama decided not to postpone his trip to Palm Beach to march with the protesters. Hillary Clinton, who was heralded by feminists all across the country during the 2016 campaign, was also a no show. All they got from her were a few tweets.

As Conway pointed out to George Stephanopoulos, these political leaders chose to embrace the peaceful transfer of power instead. They weren't throwing temper tantrums (or rocks) to lash out at an election outcome they did not like. They shook hands with the winner and moved on for the good of the country.
Their display of solidarity on Friday is a good example of how Americans should put the partisanship of the campaign behind them and unite behind our new president. If the Obamas and the Clintons - and even some in Hollywood - can do it, so can the rest of America.
I don’t think the march was about Hillary. I had to be downtown for a meeting and the people I saw heading for the march fit the Bernie profile, not the Hillary. Had she been there she may well have been booed.

Let the marchers define who the entire left is. As long as your enemy is being an idiot in public, keep that in the limelight.

Kerry there, but notice, he is always minus his wife...who is either in very poor health or she doesn’t support his ideas or she is ‘sick and tired’ of him...any of those work..
He, himself does not appear healthy. As for missing the inauguration, he is still mourning his own lost...
The shot of the woman in the lower left hand corner of your pic. is the same woman in another post described as Hillary escort out of the 9/11 event where Hillary had her ‘so called collapse’ so the photo in another post looks like it is accurate and not a photo shop job.

And apparently a very knowledgeable Senator before he was VP. I knew a left-leaning Democrat in the 1980s who was on a Congressional committee staff and worked with Quayle and his staff on a regular basis. She had high regard for Quayle, despite their political differences.

You may be right.
On the other hand, these marches, and especially the violence that often accompany them, may be a huge turn off to many “independents” out there, and maybe even to some Democrats.
The violence from Inauguration Day I agree completely, which is probably why the media didn't mention it much. But the marches on Saturday were peaceful. So not much there to turn people off.
