Kellyanne: Did You Notice Hillary and Obama Attended the Inauguration And Not the March?
Townhall.com ^ | January 23, 2017 | Cortney O'Brien

Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump's former campaign manager and now White House senior counsel, noticed that two prominent people were absent from the Women's March on Washington on Saturday: Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Instead, they were on the inaugural stage applauding and welcoming President Trump. She pointed out the fact during an interview on ABC this weekend.

.@KellyannePolls: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton "conspicuous by their absence" in yesterday's Women's March https://t.co/0gcfCmn67U pic.twitter.com/aZSACXkp2w— ABC News Politics (@ABCPolitics) January 22, 2017

Despite declaring himself a "feminist" at last year's White House State of Women Summit, Obama decided not to postpone his trip to Palm Beach to march with the protesters. Hillary Clinton, who was heralded by feminists all across the country during the 2016 campaign, was also a no show. All they got from her were a few tweets.

Thanks for standing, speaking & marching for our values @womensmarch. Important as ever. I truly believe we're always Stronger Together.— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) January 21, 2017

As Conway pointed out to George Stephanopoulos, these political leaders chose to embrace the peaceful transfer of power instead. They weren't throwing temper tantrums (or rocks) to lash out at an election outcome they did not like. They shook hands with the winner and moved on for the good of the country.

Their display of solidarity on Friday is a good example of how Americans should put the partisanship of the campaign behind them and unite behind our new president. If the Obamas and the Clintons - and even some in Hollywood - can do it, so can the rest of America.

She does realize that the sooner she stops complaining about the march the sooner it will fade from the media right?

I want to know what happened to Obama’s daughers. How can the media ignore the absence of these two rent a kids.

President Trump did thank Bill and Hillary Clinton in a speech for coming to his inauguration.

No, not really. Conway made an excellent point and the weight of it shouldn’t be missed.

Clintons and Obamas want to put a respectable public face up-front. Behind the scenes I am sure they are pulling a lot of the puppet strings for these absurd demonstrations.

Why risk yourself when there are plenty of young skulls o’ mush willing to go out and get tear-gassed?

I read somewhere that she wasn’t named as an honorary woman at the march because she attended the inauguration.

Liberal media won’t give her a slack and let the issue quietly fade away.

Exactly my thinking. She’s a bright woman who calls it like it is, even when it hurts.

SO right about Obama and Clinton missing the march! Obama’s are on a two week vacation staying at a guy and his husband’s mansion....chose this over their women supporters so KaC is right on!

I have one tiny iota of respect for Hillary showing up at the inauguration.

That took gonads.

That puts the Democrats between a rock and a hard place for how to respond. . .But the diehard leftists among the protesters will just see this as more evidence that Clinton and Obama were really just part of the capitalist system all along (which is half-true: like all Communists, once they gain power they don’t want to give up their own power or wealth: they’ll appropriate someone else’s instead).

Women’s marches or snide remarks from the like minded anti-Trump peanut gallery won’t change the fact that Trump is now President...

Kellys words invite push back and presented O and C as supporting Trump. Hard for George to argue back and give another reason.

Love her smarts

“”noticed that two prominent people were absent from the Women’s March on Washington on Saturday: Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Instead, they were on the inaugural stage applauding and welcoming President Trump. She pointed out the fact during an interview on ABC this weekend.””

Either a lousy written article or Kelly Ann has lost her marbles. Hillary and obozo definitely weren’t on the inaugural stage on Saturday when the idiot’s march was taking place. People need to slow down and THINK before they SPEAK or WRITE! Including myself!

I took it that she was referring to the inauguration on Friday. I didn’t need her to date stamp it for me.

If the media wants to keep chasing its tail over this stuff while Trump is rolling back EPA regs, reinstituting the Mexico City Policy, etc. I'm okay with it.

Mrs. Conway also appears willing to let the Mass Media be an accomplice while a wedge is split between the Trotsky and Bukharin factions.
