In the first, Donald Trump rides an escalator down to the lobby of Trump Tower to announce his fanciful campaign for president. In the second, Election Night maps on television screens flash red as 30 states fall like dominoes into Trump’s column.
Just 17 months elapsed between those unforgettable moments, yet that span stands as an epoch unto itself in the history of America. We were eyewitnesses to a revolution, a rising up of people who felt shunned, betrayed and left behind. They called themselves “deplorables and irredeemables,” turning Hillary Clinton’s slurs into a rallying cry as they threw off the yoke of the old political order and trusted the nation to a true outsider.

No. The polls, press and pundits defied the American people.
The media is the Democrat Party crying, whining and resentful of Trump’s win. Obama’s 10 trillion dollars worth of goodies is gone with the wind. Now Trump has a mess to clean up. It is the end of Trick or Treat candy for them.

They all STILL don’t understand. It was not just-Trump. It was the collective, wretching disgust and repudiation of years and years of built-up dissatisfaction of a non-responsive, ideologically-bent government and ESTABLISHMENT that shat on Americans of everyday life wantonly.
They have been rejected and now they are WARNED.

I can almost get on board with the sentiment, but where does it say from what ranks a hero has to come?
Is there no room for a patriot, despite his means, to want better than the hatred and betrayal we’ve experienced from Obama and the Democrats?
