Hillary Clinton has just a few hours left to secure a pardon from President Obama. After that, she takes her chances with whatever the mercurial Donald Trump has in store for her.
Obama has pardoned or commuted the sentences of more than 1,000 people — in fact, he’s the most forgiving president in history. And while Hillary has until noon Friday to get a pardon for any crimes she may have committed, Obama as of noon Wednesday does not intend to pardon Madame Secretary.
Why not?
One reason: He probably doesn’t like her very much. The two were opponents for the White House in 2008 and harsh words were exchanged. And her appointment as secretary of state was more of a business transaction than anything else.
And, as you can probably figure out yourself, Obama likely doesn’t want his legacy eroded any more than it already has been and will be as Trump undoes his actions.

That would be like passing a law, but not publishing it.
If O. had signed an Executive Order pardoning H., it could not be concealed; it would have to be public knowledge. It's not like "Double Secret Probation."

The establishment wouldn’t want to stir up the Democrats by sending the heads of the Clinton Crime Syndicate to prison no matter how deserving they are. But I think that there is a pretty good chance a special prosecutor will be appointed anyway because Trump isn’t afraid even if their was a political price to be paid.
Can a pardon be kept secret or at least not announced?
Right, but what many people don't yet fully realize is that, with the swearing-in of President Trump, the Establishment has been effectively decapitated.

I don’t believe anyone should be above the law, and if there is a case against the Clintons it should be prosecuted. If elites see that they got away with high crimes, the pattern will continue. It serves the interests of nobody, other than a criminal element in high places, to avoid this issue.
Hillary didn’t get her pardon. But we shouldn’t forget Bill still has his! Carter pardoned the draft dodgers, including those not yet tried or charged, of which Bill was one.

Ok unless there becomes a pressing need to go after H I think this issue is going to go away.
I thought the POTUS routinely issued “pocket pardons” to people doing top secret operations. They obviously could not be registered anywhere and still retain operational security. Nobody would know about them unless they were needed.
If Hillary has an official pardon typed up on the Presidents letterhead with Ozero’s signature tucked away, we will not know it unless she is charged or even convicted of something, at which point she pulls her “Get Out of Jail Free” card. Because the President’s power to pardon is unlimited, if the document was proven genuine I think she’d walk no matter when it surfaced.
But hopefully Sessions won't be. She has committed enough treason and malfeasance of office, to be put away for 20 years (life)

Trump has alluded that he won't go after her- but,it isn't the Presidents call, is it?

Ergo - Sessions could go after her - all of them. Such criminals should not be allowed to walk free - it sends a message - politicians are above the law. If this bunch gets away with such crimes - why should any other politician worry - well, as long as you have a "D" after your name -

I’m not aware that Hillary or her posse even applied for pardons. If she had, we’d have known about it.

The clinton’s are secret service protectees. The secret service work for trump. I would say she’s kind of a detainee. My guess is all of her communications are monitored, as well as financial transactions, etc.
