Fox News has decided not to renew political commentator George Wills contract..
Will, 75, is a Washington Post columnist who has been with Fox since 2013 and was with ABC from 1981-2011, the Hill reported.
Will left the Republican Party in June 2016 over President Donald Trumps candidacy, after Trump secured the Republican nomination for the presidency.
This is not my party, Will said at a Federalist Society luncheon. Make sure he loses. Grit their teeth for four years and win the White House
Trump responded, saying Will was an overrated political pundit who has made many bad calls...

Amen
good.
Ironic - Will was right in there trying to take Trump down and he ends up being all washed up - he obviously wasn’t paying attention or he would have known the end result....
Will is just one of many who assumed they knew the truth....they did not...not even close!!!
Yep, you’re right. But over on MSNBC, I think he will begin to age fast. This is a disgrace for him. He was wrong. He left punditry for advocacy. Lost his dignity. Lost his honor. He was one of the liberal minds I used to read just to see what they were saying in a coherent way. It was like he suffered a stroke and went mad.
Buh-bye, George.
I’ll say what I was going to say the day FR died this week.
The press and pundit class don’t talk to anybody but each other, even in their columns and opinion pieces. They listen only to each other.
That’s why they didn’t even HEAR President Trump’s address. He was speaking to We the People, which they are not.
I think the Rollins departure was more of a health issue. He was having a hard time moving around the set.
I was standing on the mall listening to the speech -It all stops! Right Here! and Right Now!
Wow, a man of his word. There was no hidden agenda. He was moving forward on every campaign theme he uttered.
Going back and remembering those that got on early with Trump were some that had known him for some time. They knew him for his integrity.
Folks we told others with Obama - 'You get what you vote for'
And Praise the Lord, we voted for DJT
Congrats on your being there and hearing history being made. I found a live stream at the moment before he said: It all stops. Right here. Right now.
To borrow from an old movie: My heart soared like the hawk.
Little Big Man
George Will, please retire...you do more to divide the Republican Party. If you are a Republican, you are the Rockefeller branch - the dead branch. Us Americans want the RINOs to leave..you aren’t wanted...
Just read Peggy Noonan from the WSJ. For a change it wasn’t behind the pay wall. She had some interesting thoughts but at the end she said to the effect that Trump has nobody to rely on (no press, no allies among politicians) just himself and the people who voted for him. Almost hopeful, was she, that it would not be enough.
We the People, if he lives up to his promises must insure that it is more than enough. The man who supports us we must lift up higher than our shoulders.
My fault.....
I wrote Special Report asking that George Will be removed. The man had fallen into the position of historian rather than commentator. He would recite long boring incidents that occurred years ago and contrary to his mind, had no relevance to the present. There was no relevance to the future.
He fell into the trap of being old....... anecdotal recitation ad nauseum
I’m 74 and am on guard to insure I am not guilty of the same practice
bert’s rule: at my age, 75% of what I know no longer matters
The best and I’m certain most correct description of the President’s inaugural speech was “a distillation of Trump campaign thoughts.”
That is , the speech was the essence, the boiled down message to 100 proof.
The thought was provided by Tucker Carlson.
The speech was de facto Presidential for the simple reason every word was delivered by the President
Just like Trump will drain the swamp in DC, Fox needs to lance their boils and drain the anti-Trump contingent from their network...
I’m comfortable with George Will permanently retired from broadcasting, he’s one of the most pompous over-rated wankers on tv. I could see him spending the rest of his days twittering hairspray advice to Meagain Kelly or offering makeup tips to Sheppy Smith...
I hope Will doesn’t think he’ll be missed.
Totally amazing (and disgusting) all the exposed political backsides that Trump caused people and organizations to reveal. Add Bill Crystal and the whole National Review staff too. Krauthammer, I think, has only luckily dodged the same bullet....so far.
I hear ya.
I’ve moved to FBN for most all of inaugurations coverage. they just don’t seem to promote the liberal agenda as much as FNC.
also moved to Dobbs & like trish regan too.
With Will and Megyn leaving and Tucker promoted and Farage brought on board, Fox has really been improving here lately.
If you like that 6th-grade haircut sort of thing, like Ken Burns.
