Not to be overly critical of President Trump but, His inaugural speech, to me, sounded a bit like his campaign speeches. As a businessman, he couldn't very well stand up there and do as others have done -- tout his record in the Senate, House or Governor's mansion -- so he crystallized his message: that he has accurately diagnosed the nation's grave wounds and that he intends to bind them up with his particular skill set. As others have noted, he said "I" only three times, but "we" or "our" over 75 times. I found it inspiring as well as a welcome relief from the relentless empty narcissism of the past 8 years.
