28% of federal employees may quit their jobs when Trump assumes office: Poll
Washington Times ^ | 1/19/17 | Jennifer Harper

Almost two-thirds of federal employees voted for Hillary Clinton during the presidential election, according to a new survey.

The poll also found that six of 10 felt that the election itself gave Americans a negative impression of federal service.

So it may come as no surprise that some federal employees are considering leaving their employment when President-elect Donald Trump assumes office.

“More than one in four federal workers, or 28 percent, will definitely or possibly consider leaving their jobs after Jan. 20 when Trump is sworn into office and becomes leader of the executive branch,” according to the survey conducted by the Government Business Council and Government Executive, which both track the trends of the field.

Half said that Mr. Trump’s business experience would “hinder his management of the federal government” while almost two thirds believe that his business relationships pose a conflict of interest. Both points are also popular narratives within the Democratic Party as well.

Yeah, but go look at the floor of paper-pushers in there and see who you and your patients could do without.

Probably 50%.

“These people can’t be touched by DJT.”

Maybe it will be difficult to fire them, but they can be “reassigned” to jobs that the new administration considers “more important!” That said, this article says that a substantial number are going to voluntarily quit, so let’s see how many make good on their “threat to leave.”

Let’s assume these are fake quitters, and just retirement eligible folks. Thanks goodness they waited, so obola did not have a chance to hire younger staff that might be harder to fire. thanks!

BTW - I consider this fake news, and a negligible number will quit, and maybe a few will retire - round off.

Yes!! Yes!!! Quit your job, your job is horrible, it will be intolerable under President Trump. The only solution is to quit your job and move to Canada if they’ll have you.

If that doesn’t work out, the next best solution is to off yourself. Seriously, you won’t be able to take the b*tthurt for the next eight years.

Thanks! I can assure you and the others that the overwhelming majority of the RN’s I work for are conservative and bust ass for our vets, same for our patient care techs, and other services, such as Xray, Lab, Respiratory.
Most of us keep our beliefs to ourselves, thanks to PC being so rampant in Federal land.

I can tell you that I will grinning from ear to ear when they finally remove Obummer’s Federal portrait from the lobby of the facility I work for at high noon tomorrow!!

Maybe some these of losers get a pay check from the real losers in the Trump era. If they can read, they know their days of honey and roses as gov. employees are coming to an end.

Trump team prepares dramatic cuts
The Hill ^ | 1/19/17 | Bolton

Donald Trump is ready to take an ax to government spending.

Staffers for the Trump transition team have been meeting with career staff at the White House ahead of Friday’s presidential inauguration to outline their plans for shrinking the federal bureaucracy, The Hill has learned.

The changes they propose are dramatic.

The departments of Commerce and Energy would see major reductions in funding, with programs under their jurisdiction either being eliminated or transferred to other agencies. The departments of Transportation, Justice and State would see significant cuts and program eliminations.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting would be privatized, while the National Endowment for the Arts and National Endowment for the Humanities would be eliminated entirely.

Overall, the blueprint being used by Trump’s team would reduce federal spending by $10.5 trillion over 10 years.

President Trump: Smell that? You smell that?
Speaker Ryan: What?
President Trump: Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
[kneels]
President Trump: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like
[sniffing, pondering]
President Trump: victory. Someday this war's gonna end...
[suddenly walks off]

"28% of federal employees may quit their jobs when Trump assumes office"

Is that like all the Hollywood stars, as well as George Stephanopolous and his wife, who said they would leave the country if Trump were elected, but then didn't?

A great start! Makes the target reduction in force numbers easy for Trump!

They can tender their resignations starting now.
