Opera singers will come together tomorrow to honour Hillary Clinton, while Donald Trump is being sworn in.
Glen Roven has set two Clinton speeches to music to be sung by Patricia Racette, Nathan Gunn, Isabel Leonard, Lawrence Brownlee, Matthew Polenzani and others.Setting Hillarys words was a very emotional experience, said Glen Roven.
Phrases that fly by in a speech are naturally elongated in a musical setting, and as I set each word, slowly and methodically I was in tears. When I mentioned this project to these singers, their immediate response was, Im in.
please be fat. (first time I’ve ever said that.)
Very appropriate. The fat ladies should sing her speeches because her political career (thankfully) is OVAH!!!! Sing away, fatsos.
I’ll look forward to the “Why Aren’t I Fifty Points Ahead?” aria.
That’ll go over like a fart in church.
This die-hard opera fan is aghast.
“Wiped it? Like with a cloth?” is a real showstopper.
And can’t wait for the deplorables aria either! Racist.....sexist.....homophobic...... Xenophobic.....islamophobic....all set to opera music. Its enough to soothe the liberal soul isn’t it?????
I hope they include, “At this point, what difference does it make?”
Will they do the jerking bobble-head moves and make goggle-eyes while they sing...
I hope it is the speech where she is barking like a dog.
“please be fat. (first time Ive ever said that.)”
I think I’d rather see/hear Yoko Ono (I never thought I would say that)

The Memes practically create themselves with this story.
What a childish thing to do.
We need a national prom queen so the Democrats can vote their feelings.
I’d rather listen to a recording of Joseph Pujol performing ...
“Go to the End of the Line!” (12 seconds of Crooked Hillary charm) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiRZiANcbco
“Look, the average Democrat voter is just plain stupid. They’re easy to manipulate. That’s the easy part...cough cough, wheeze wheeze.”
