The FBI and five other law enforcement and intelligence agencies have collaborated for months in an investigation into Russian attempts to influence the November election, including whether money from the Kremlin covertly aided President-elect Donald Trump, two people familiar with the matter said.
The agencies involved in the inquiry are the FBI, the CIA, the National Security Agency, the Justice Department, the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network and representatives of the director of national intelligence, the sources said.
Investigators are examining how money may have moved from the Kremlin to covertly help Trump win, the two sources said. One of the allegations involves whether a system for routinely paying thousands of Russian-American pensioners may have been used to pay some email hackers in the United States or to supply money to intermediaries who would then pay the hackers, the two sources said.
The informal, inter-agency working group began to explore possible Russian interference last spring, long before the FBI received information from a former British spy hired to develop politically damaging and unverified research about Trump, according to the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the inquiry.

This story was lifted from some opinion column posted by the BBC who hates Trump. McClatchy lists anonymous sources. And this Christopher Steele character is referred to as if he were a legitimate investigator. Steele hustled some GOP donor then a Hillary donor into paying good money for fabricated information. Steele may have also fleeced the Russians and the CIA out of cash. Steele is a shameless flimflam artist. That is why he is hiding under a rock someplace. Soon law enforcement will be looking for him on fraud charges.
Will they reveal how much US money covertly went to destabilize Russia?

Oh, and if these “leaks” are actually REAL leaks actually from REAL intelligence sources sworn by law to uphold secrecy, then President Trump should fire them, have them prosecuted and jailed if convicted.

Big time... I 100% agree with you. Hopefully he doesn’t get Kennedy’ed as JFK was also not a Deep Stater.
So what are we to make of it? Nothing.
Trump didn’t need Russian money. Or Soros money. Or Haitian money. Or Saudi money.
He had his own money, his friends donated, and millions of American citizens like me donated.

The 2nd Amendment was written for exactly such a reason. It was added to the Bill of Rights because the Founding Fathers knew tyrants and despite are limited to the past, but are inherent in human nature and governance.

True. I hope that Trump goes after every one of the leakers if there really is an investigation. The IC house must be cleaned on day one for national security.
