Last year, Santa Ana received $123 million in federal grants, of which $66.8 million is recurring.

Regarding a potential loss of federal funding, Acting City Manager Gerardo Mouet on Tuesday said: “I’m not worried about that based on my reading.”

Time to start prosecuting some of these elected officials.

I’m sure they can raise some taxes to cover the lost funding....

California has for all practical purposes been annexed by Mexico.

The best way to combat sanctuary cities would be to cut off all federal funding.

Eventually basic services (infrastructure, trash collection, even emergency services) in those cities would being to break down.

Then have ICE create a tip hotline with cash rewards for information leading to the arrest and deportation of illegals.

Even many who consider themselves liberals could easily flip if their garbage has been piling up for weeks and if thy have the chance to line their own wallets.

Sanctuary city...

Hmm. Does ‘making it a sanctuary for all residents’ include felons, dope dealers, anarchists, and pimps?

Prosecute the Mayors of Sanctuary Cities.

Could start a Civil War but we already had one Mexican/American War, right?

Sanctuary cities are 'Democrat voter recruitment hubs' and have no right to ANY federal tax dollars whatsoever.

“Last year, Santa Ana received $123 million in federal grants, of which $66.8 million is recurring.”

ALL of these FG GRANTS need to end! Cut federal taxes and let state and local governments collect their own monies. All the FG involvement does is allow a bunch of worthless bureaucrats feast off of the proceeds, taking their “cut,” before returning the money to those who paid it out in the first place. There are other avenues to achieve the result needed on sanctuary cities, like writing laws that make it mandatory that the FG prosecute state and local officials who violate Federal Immigration Law.

BTW AG, took a look at the “young artichoke plants” along 156 a couple of days ago.

It’s amazing that these big city liberal mayors and city councils think they can defy a U.S. president’s enforcement of federal laws.

Pass all the resolutions you want, libtards. Trump is coming, and he’s booting your precious illegals back across the border, whether you like it or not.

What about "felons" who want to own common firearms banned by the state of California? Do they get a pass in Santa Ana?

Somehow I doubt it...

That’s hilarious.

The illegals absolving the illegals.

For everyone here who isn’t aware: Santa Ana, California is now ~ 80% “hispanic” with a few unfortunate Americans unable or unwilling to move and Vietnamese who are too stubborn to move.

I call the whites there American since the “hispanics” are clearly loyal to Mexico and are at least 40% illegals. No point in engaging in the fraud of calling the hispanics there Americans, they aren’t.

If a banker willfully violates federal lending laws, are there any consequences? Or if a CEO willfully violates federal SEC laws?

I’m no lawyer, but think the answer is yes. So these “public workers” should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Citizens of the United States must obey all laws to the letter or be severly punished.

Foreign nationals in the country illegally are free to violate any law they disagree with at will, for they are Sacred People and must not be disturbed by Evil Anglo police.

Any government officials conspiring to violate the laws of the United States, should be arrested and prosecuted. It is time to put an end to these challenges to the authority of the United States.

There are about a half dozen cities who proudly identify as sanctuary cities.

That makes it much easier to know where to withhold taxpayer (aka, Federal) dollars, and ICE will know exactly where to move in.

Thanks for the help boys and girls.

Nullification of federal law in action. Bad idea.
