The folks who donated big to Donald Trump's presidential campaign will have one simple question to answer come dinnertime -- fish or beef? Trump's hosting the Chairman's Global Dinner in D.C. Tuesday night ... where donors who spent top dollar for his campaign will get treated to an exclusive black-tie dinner, and 2 entree options: mustard glazed black cod or filet mignon. TMZ has obtained a copy of the menu, and it includes side dishes like carrot ribbon salad and champignons -- fancy for mushrooms. For dessert, they're serving Baked Alaska cakes with "fresh" raspberries. Winos have 2 reds and 2 whites from which to choose. Cheers!

Always fish with shrimp. That way, if you don’t catch any fish you can eat the bait!............

A steak should be cooked however the person ordering and consuming it wants, even if they want it burnt to a crisp. However, any right to complain about it being “tough” should be forfeited, beyond medium.

The purpose of this dinner escaped me in news reports.

Who is the “Chairman” and what about this gathering made it “global”.

Is this an organization of campaign donors being thanked?

Didn’t know what the heck carrot pearls were but found this: https://www.engadget.com/2015/04/17/cooking-with-watson-turkish-bruschetta/ . Not the same dish but carrot pearls.

“the one alarming bit — “carrot pearls.” ... So, let’s talk about carrot pearls. Apparently the original version of this recipe called for shredded marinated carrot. And I would suggest that any home cooks attempting this recipe seriously consider going that route... To create them you simmer the juice with cumin, sumac and salt. Then once the flavors are combined, you whisk in the agar, which acts like gelatin. The instructions then ask you to put this mixture in a squeeze bottle and slowly drip the spiced carrot juice into a bowl of vegetable oil over ice...After scraping the carrot pearls off...”

Yeah, I can see scraping the carrot pearls off as it doesn’t sound appetizing. We had a nice shredded carrot salad last night without the complicated fussy long winded recipe. And store brand canned green beans non-French cut (geez, Chef, it’s just the cut), onion rings, bbq ribs and extra paper towels.
