The Senate stands adjourned until 4:00pm on Friday, January 20, 2017.
For the information of all Senators, on Friday, January 20th, the 58th Presidential Inauguration will be held. Senators should gather in the Senate Chamber at 10:00am so that we may proceed as a body to the West Front of the Capitol and the Inaugural Platform.
I’m just wondering if 0bama’s last act as president is to pardon all federal prisoners. Is there a limit on how many? Just to really mess up the US I wouldn’t put it past him to do that.

At least they have a schedule. The House Democrats’ schedule consists of waking up, remembering that Trump will become President at noon, crying, then going back to sleep.

My joy at the inauguration of Donald Trump as a successor to the worst person ever to hold the Presidency is tempered by that fact that the former bumbler-in-chief will be vacationing in the Palm Springs area after the inauguration as I live there.
My one solace is that the weather forecast for the Palm Springs area is for rain on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday. Great, as we really need the rain.
The thought of Obumbler being unable to play golf and stuck at home having to put up with the Mooch is priceless. I suspect that his high school boy friends will come to town so they can entertain each other.
If the Senate “stands adjourned until 4:00 pm on January 20th”, could Obama get his SCOTUS nominee appointed as a recess appointment???????

The Senate will stand in adjournment, not recess. It's merely close of business for the day.
We are making a party of watching it with 2 other couples. And, then, in the evening, all 6 of us will be attending the county GOP’s DeploraBall.
Great idea! I am going to serve that to my guests.
