Jennifer Holliday is telling you that she’s not going to President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration — but her reason might be changing.
The “Dreamgirls” singer backed out of a pre-inauguration concert over the weekend because of a “lapse in judgment” about the LGBT community, but Holliday’s agent told Trump’s inauguration committee that she wouldn’t perform because of death threats, according to TMZ.
Gay rights weren’t even brought up, the gossip website reported.
Holliday, however, said she was pulling out of the Jan. 19 “welcome concert” in support of her fans who she credited with “brithing” her career.
“I was honestly just thinking that I wanted my voice to be a healing and unifying force for hope through music to help our deeply polarized country,” Holliday wrote in an open letter on The Wrap.
“Regretfully, I did not take into consideration that my performing for the concert would actually instead be taken as a political act against my own personal beliefs and be mistaken for support of Donald Trump and Mike Pence.”

A very fine performer and seemingly non-political like many performers. She doesn’t need this.
Tenor Andreo Bocelli similarly received death threats and also had to cancel after agreeing to perform.
Death threats should be investigated and people should go to jail. Aren’t death threats still against the law?

We just need to put the blinders on and steamroll our way to returning us to be the land of the free; the home of the brave.

The House Ways and Mean Committee needs to look at any tax benefits that the entertainment industry receives and vote to eliminate them, and state why. Hit these people in the pocketbook and they’ll squeal like pigs.

The two reasons aren’t mutually exclusive. Maybe not expecting death threats from them was the lapse in judgment.
We are seeing that the left are showing their true fascist face and colors. They are the ones who riot and maim their opponents, and are encouraged by the silence of the MSM to do so.

You can bet the members of the LGBT community that threatened Miss Holliday were mostly, if not all, white. White LGBT radicals are rabid militants and will go after anyone regardless of race and even orientation. Don’t expect the Congressional Black Caucus to say anything about this “hate” crime. The liberal agenda TRUMPS everything with them. Miss Holliday is probably a Democrat, but since she was toying with the idea of performing at the inauguration of the enemy she is now open to attack even after she backed away from doing it. Just sick and demented!

Please allow me this opportunity to speak to you directly and to explain why I originally made my decision to perform at the inauguration which was what I had thought would be my simply keeping in my tradition of being a “bi-partisan songbird” having sung for Presidents Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush.
I was asked to sing a song for what was presented to me as the “Welcome Concert For The People”– in my mind I was reflecting on the past times of being asked to sing for presidents and I only focused on the phrase “For The People”… I thought, For America!
I was honestly just thinking that I wanted my voice to be a healing and unifying force for hope through music to help our deeply polarized country… Regretfully, I did not take into consideration that my performing for the concert would actually instead be taken as a political act against my own personal beliefs and be mistaken for support of Donald Trump and Mike Pence.
In light of the information pointed out to me via the Daily Beast article on yesterday, my only choice must now be to stand with the LGBT Community and to state unequivocally that I WILL NOT PERFORM FOR THE WELCOME CONCERT OR FOR ANY OF THE INAUGURATION FESTIVITIES!
I Sincerely apologize for my lapse of judgement, for being uneducated on the issues that affect every American at this crucial time in history and for causing such dismay and heartbreak to my fans.
Please know that I HEAR YOU and I feel your pain. The LGBT Community was mostly responsible for birthing my career and I am deeply indebted to you… You have loved me faithfully and unconditionally and for so many years you provided me with work even though my star had long since faded.
Thank you for communicating with me, I had no idea that I still meant so much to all of you.

We will never probably know the truth, but I suspect she got pressure from the entertainment industry and her agent made this up.
This morning, the story was “pressure from her fans.”
If there were actual death threats, we would have known about it first thing.
