The Pentagon has carried out what it is calling one of its most significant tests of autonomous systems under development by the Department of Defense with the demonstration of the world’s largest micro-drone swarms at China Lake, California.

First thing that comes to mind is how easily they could be used right now as smart, persistent chaff to confuse enemy search and fire control radars. Just equip them with radar reflectors (or do it electronically) and send in hundreds of them prior to an attack by manned aircraft.

Mess with their minds and send in the ones with chaff, but don't follow up - at first. For a while they will be jumpy. After a few false alarms they'll get sloppy - and THEN hit 'em with the big stuff.
