Donald Trump won’t be using the POTUS Twitter account
NY Post ^ | January 16, 2017 | Daniel Halper

Donald Trump plans to keep using his personal Twitter account, the president-elect confirmed in a weekend interview, noting that he “can go bing bing bing” and make national news using his social media accounts. “@realDonaldTrump I think, I’ll keep it,” Trump told the Times of London in the interview published Monday, saying he won’t personally be taking over the @POTUS account used by the president.

Trump admitted that he thought he’d be utilizing social media less frequently but claimed “it’s working.”

“I thought I’d do less of it, but I’m covered so dishonestly by the press — so dishonestly — that I can put out Twitter — and it’s not 140, it’s now 280 — I can go bing bing bing . . . and they put it on and as soon as I tweet it out — this morning on television, Fox — ‘Donald Trump, we have breaking news,’” the president-elect said.

Obama doesn’t do his own Twitter but has an office of 20 people who write and post his social media accounts.

NYT, Nov. 8. 2015:

Leading the charge is Mr. Obama’s Office of Digital Strategy, a team of roughly 20 aides who spend their days managing his Twitter account and the White House Facebook page, Instagram account and YouTube channel.

Led by Jason Goldman, a 39-year-old former executive at Twitter, Blogger and Medium, the team has a variety of tasks, including live-tweeting presidential speeches in 140-character squibs from the White House Twitter account and using analytics to track which issues may be most ripe for a web video or graphic and then producing them. . .

Sure as hell beats managing illegal donations through a private server in your bathroom.

President Trump does an excellent job of making the reader feel as if he is tweeting directly to him or her as an individual.
My feeling is that President Trump will be among the greatest presidents in history and was just the person we needed.

did not think in the beginning that he was right for the job but he has won me over. I think that what scares the left about him is that he really does not care about there opinion on anything and rather then ignoring them when they are foolish in what they say he points out what ever the hypocrisy is. My biggest fear is that he will be assassinated by one of the power brokers in Washington.

Well, if that happens, it will trigger the Second US Civil War.

I think you are right and I think that the left has no idea That trump is not the movement he is just the best hope we have. Unlike Hillary his loyalty is not based on money. him dying will only magnify his influence. one of the best things he did was show conservative politician how to handle PLC and the rules for radicles handbook. I don’t think that the Left will ever be able to intimidate a candidate like they have in the past after this election.

I read that he is keeping his own security people, won’t rely on ones supplied by the gov.

He is smart and hopefully will also continue to be fortunate.

Watching CNN. As I do. The idea that Trump may move the "Press Corp." dose not bother them in the least 😉 as they still continue to report the news as the journalist that they are. Nervous Laughter. "Whistling past the Graveyard" I believe its called. Lol. Winning! 👍

I have a feeling that the secret service needs to be cleaned out within the upper echelons of the organization. I think that they already stopped one major attempt the night of the third debate with Hillary. right after the debate Trump left in a hurry leaving his family behind. usually he stays after debates to talk himself up. Later that evening the press is interviewing Hillary on her plane. I noticed some real pissed off looking secret service agents in the background trying to look as threatening as possible. normally in a safe situation the secret service tries to blend in. I think there was a failed attempt on Trumps life witch caused the secret service to be on guard with there agents. I think the agents with Hillary were convinced she had something to do with it.

President Trump impresses me more and more as time passes.
Absolutely agree that because of him, the classic methods of screeching "racist / sexist / xenophobic / whatever" at Republican candidates will now be utterly ineffective and will only BOLSTER his or her supporters.

Any other candidate would have been pounded into steak tartare months before the general election. Had it not been for President Trump announcing his candidacy and to Make America Great Again a little over a year ago, we would be prepping for Hillary Clinton to take the oath of office.

There was only one candidate who would not be steamrolled, and that is President Trump.

I think that trump will be a president referred to by other politicians like Abe Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Ronald Regan. He is a once every 50 years type of politician.

And the delicious irony is that Hillary and her legions of Progs and media whores desperately wanted Donald Trump to be her opponent! Just goes to show how truly ignorant these fools are and how truly out of touch with reality as well.

President Trump has prevented the arrival at least 1 million (and possibly even 2 million) refugees from Muslim nations onto our shores.
I concur with you that if he continues to make excellent decisions, he will be viewed much like President Lincoln and President Reagan.
