A Michigan man is recovering from a near-death experience thanks to his dogs heroic actions. On New Years Eve, a man only identified as Bob went outside to get a log for his fireplace. Wearing only his slippers, long Johns and a shirt, Bob slipped and fell, breaking his neck.
I was screaming for help but my nearest neighbor is about a quarter mile away and it was 10:30 p.m., but my Kelsey came, stated Bob. By morning my voice was gone and I couldnt yell for help, but Kelsey didnt stop barking.
Bob laid in the snow for 20 hours, according to a release from McLaren Northern Michigan. As temperatures dropped to nearly 24 degrees, Kelsey laid on top of Bob to keep him warm. She licked his hands and face to keep him awake.

Good dog!!!
So sorry to hear about his terrible accident. Last winter I slipped and fell on my driveway and broke my arm. It still hurts.
Reading this man’s story, I consider myself fortunate.
I’m glad he has man’s best friend to help him.
You are so right. Dogs are empathetic and intuitive.
My black Lab would jump up on the couch about five or ten minutes before my kid’s school bus would drop them off.
They are older now, but I swear, Ellie still knows what I’m thinking and what I am about to do.
They are truly a gift.
Beautiful!!
Got that right. I slipped on the Ice on a freezing cold night and dislocated my shoulder and shattered my elbow, it was so slippery I could not get up and was laying in the snow for quite a long time before my son heard my screaming, if he was not home I would have froze to death as my closest neighbor lives a 1/4 mile away.
Nice story.
Love this story.
Ping for later
