CIA director rips into Donald Trump over tweets, Russia

Outgoing CIA Director John Brennan ripped into Donald Trump on Sunday for "talking and tweeting" about possibly easing sanctions against Russia, saying the president-elect lacks a full understanding of the threat Moscow poses to the United States.

"I think he has to be mindful that he does not have a full appreciation and understanding of what the implications are of going down that road," Brennan said on "Fox News Sunday," a show Trump routinely watches.

"Now that he's going to have an opportunity to do something for our national security as opposed to talking and tweeting, he's going to have tremendous responsibility to make sure that U.S. and national security interests are protected," Brennan added.

The extraordinary televised lecture to the incoming president highlighted the bitter state of Trump's relationship with the American intelligence community just days before he is inaugurated as the nation's 45th president. Trump has repeatedly shrugged off intelligence that's convinced Republicans and Democrats that Russia tried to help him win election.

Yeah, I can imagine GEN Mattis and Rex Tillerson came away from their meetings with Trump and thought, "This guy has no idea what he's talking about, especially as it matters to one our greatest rivals....yeah, I'll work for him."

“he’s going to have tremendous responsibility to make sure that U.S. and national security interests are protected”

Brennan’s quite the genius to know the President has a lot of responsibility for national security.

Why didn’t I know that?

Brennan is probably the one who advised Obama that ISIS was the “J.V. team” and, as such, nothing to worry about.

This guy should be nowhere near intelligence analysis.

Too bad Trump didn’t get a chance to bring this Traitor into his office for interrogation.

Brennan is an enemy of the United States, nothing more. He even admitted voting Communist in the 70s.

The fact that he became a Moslem sympathizer is just another facet of his hatred for Americans.

Maybe we can set up a commission after the fact to probe what he did. Then the charges can come.

Be in a nation without an extradition treaty with the US January 20th, Brennan, and take your prayer rug with you.

Romney was an ass too. Russia is a threat because our idiotic policy has made them a threat.

Brennan doesn’t seem to recognize that trump’s “I may do this” type comments don’t compare to the willful deceit by the intel agencies....

CIA Director John Brennan's a jerk. If he reflects what our ‘intelligence services’ are like it goes a long way toward explaining why the world's such a mess. And why the United States has so little standing and respect... He was disgraceful when talking to Chris Wallace this morning - a real eye-opener on what a jerk our 'top people' must be.

I don’t trust his intelligence that said the Russians did it, and now this nearly confirms my suspicion the media leaks were coming directly from the CIA.
