We have had laws about intoxicants since we’ve been a nation, so your nanny-state reference makes as much sense as the rest of your logic. Restrictions on firearms are also well represented in our history. Even in the wild west, patrons checked their weapons before they drank.

What has been proven is the fact that any mind-altering substance will be abused, and reasonable people agree that empirical standards to protect public safety outweigh your personal license.

This country was never Libertarian. It was founded as a Republic under the principles of Federalism. That means you could establish your local libertarian utopia, but you don’t get to dictate how the rest of us live.

Got that right they make Billions off of peoples pain. There are 1.33 million chronic pain patients, who have no cures for their diseases, many of them medically caused. Bad surgeries, ICC (bladder diseases)Peripheral Neuropathy, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, all they have to treat them is pain meds. Lyrica, Neurotin and Cymbalta are more addictive than morphine for the last ones.

I’m one of them, left to long on Nexium and my bones are now brittle, Physio caused annular tears and disc dislocations that turned into bulges, and herniation’s and collapses that can’t be fixed. Add the fact that Primary is to stupid to read a Thyroid Lab report and you get under dosed and it caused worse brittle bones. See an ENDO for a Endocrine issue. You can’t trust your Primary any more.
