President Barack Obama’s decision to terminate the Cuban refugee policy is motivated by revenge for Cuban-Americans’ support of Donald Trump, say some Cubans.
The immigration policy, dating from 1966 and dubbed “Wet Foot, Dry Foot,” allowed Cubans who reach U.S. soil to stay and become voting citizens.
Jose Enrique Manresa, a 47-year-old Cuban now stranded in Mexico as a result of the change in immigration policy on Thursday, suggested that the outgoing president’s decision is aimed at punishing Cuban-Americans for supporting Trump.
“Obama, because he is leaving, suddenly takes up the idea of repealing a law that has been enforced for many years and has favored many Cubans. I think he got angry with the Cubans — it is a reprisal,” he told BBC, referring to the Cuban-American vote for Trump.
Manresa, who paid $10,000 to leave Cuba for the United States along with his daughter, learned of Obama’s decision eight days before he expected to end his 48-day journey through Guyana, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Mexico. . .

This is bait and switch concerning the border with Mexico, and any Cuban coming up through there rather than Florida should be stopped at our border.

Good, now Obama has ensured that the Cuban community won’t vote for Democrats for at least the next 50 years. The best part is that his infantile change of policy can be reversed with a single signature in less than one week, thereby ensuring that the Cuba Cuban Community will vote for the Republicans for at least the next 50 years. Given the very short time frame, I simply don’t expect anybody to actually be affected by this.

Not quite. Primarily as a gift to the castros. It’s something the castros have wanted for a long time. Since the gift hurts the USA and helps the castros, bammy gave it to them.
I don’t really care if it was Obama or Trump, I am simply happy that illegal aliens, regardless of where they are from, will be subject to deportation. For too long Cubans got special exception. Half the world is under communism so that is a lame excuse to flood our country. They can and should go home or stay home and fix Cuba. Free Florida for Americans!
Cubans are predominantly Catholic so it’s a way for Obama to block Christians from coming into the country. His policies have been very effective blocking Middle Eastern Christians from reaching safety. He’s been bringing in all the murderers - Middle Eastern and Mexican.
this is one of the political traps Obama set up if he counters the order upon taking office he is accused of allowing the Cubans in because they will vote republican.......my suggestion is to cancel all of Obamas executive orders given after Hillary lost the election.
