A Senate Republican is blasting President-elect Donald Trump's criticism of Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), praising the lawmaker for his leadership in the civil rights movement in the 1960s.
Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) on Saturday seized on Trump's characterization of Lewis as "All talk, talk, talk - no action," pointing out that his "talk" made a significant contribution in the civil rights movement.
"John Lewis and his 'talk' have changed the world," Sasse tweeted.

Democrat control of the Senate lead to the passage of Osamacare and the confirmation of 2 lib Supreme Court Justices. ONLY a Republican majority prevented a 3rd lib justice.
Sasse has a 94% Conservative voting record according to Conservative Review.

I say this because Conservative review is run by Mark Levin, and though he sometimes claims to support Trump (last minute Trump Train border), he was and still the most Anti-Trump talk-show host (who supposedly loves the country and is a conservative) that I ever heard with the exception of Glenn Beck.
Sadly, Levin let his stubborn pride and personal bias color his judgement about trump, so I take any and everything from Conservative Review with some skepticism.
The only things certain in life:
1) Death
2) Taxes
3) GOP “moderates” will gleefully stab in the back Republicans who stand up to rabid leftists, while far left Democrats will never criticize another leftist.

Yes they’ve done better, they haven’t passed gun control and they DID NOT confirm Garland. A democrat Senate confirms Garland and say goodbye to your constitutional rights my friend.
And they’re gonna repeal Osamacare, a democrat Senate led by Chuck E. Cheese would defacate on those plans. And they’re gonna confirm the conservative Trump appoints to the court, rather than reject him/her as Chuck E. would do.
Perspective, keep it.
And keep in mind, despite his continued despicable anti-Trump rhetoric that I predict will lead to a successful primary challenge if it continues along these lines, Sasse is one of the BETTER ones.

Sasse is an idiot. Trump was talking about Lewis’ crime infested district and not about Lewis’ past.
