I have no doubt that that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to drug money in politics.

I agree, the question is will they be held accountable?

I pray they will.

A source close to Pres-elect Trump's transition team indicated plans to pressure its yet unnamed US ambassadors to suggest to foreign governments that they probe their Clinton Foundation financial dealings. “Haiti and Colombia will be key diplomatic posts because of all the money involved,” said the Trump source.

==================================================

Recently leaked e-mails marked FOB “Friends of Bill”, indicate Clinton State Dept insiders may have given "FOB" official State Dept priority as it prepared to spend some $10 billion tax dollars---aid after a 2010 devastating earthquake in Haiti. The State Dept denied any special treatment.

Canadian mining magnate Frank Giustra (he facilitated the sale of US uranium deposits), pledged $100 million to the Clinton Foundation in 2005 and later benefited from the foundation’s philanthropic work in Columbia where Giustra acquired large parcels of land and set up an oil business, according to watchdog groups. (hat tip NY POST)

===========================================

Another person who profited from Haiti’s earthquake was Hillary Clinton’s younger brother Tony Rodham. In October 2013, he joined the board of Haiti's VCS Mining.

In December 2012, VCS Mining was one of two companies to win a contract to mine for gold in Haiti. Haiti had not issued permits to mine gold in almost 50 years prior to this deal. How did VCS do it?

In 2012, VCS chief executive Angelo Viard met Tony Rodham at a Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) event. If Viard didn’t hire Rodham because of his family ties, then why did he also pay $20,000 membership fee to the Clinton Foundation.

It is worth noting that mining for gold can be extremely hazardous to the environment of Haiti. To separate the gold from the rock, some mining companies use cyanide. If another earthquake hits Haiti,there is a chance that the cyanide could escape into the soil and/or the water supply. Many Haitians could die to service the greed of Clinton Foundation donors and recipients.”

EXCLUSIVE: Persian Gulf Sheikhs Gave Bill & Hillary $100 Million [VIDEO]

A Daily Caller News Foundation investigation reveals that Bill and Hillary Clinton received at least $100 million from autocratic Persian Gulf states and their leaders, potentially undermining Democratic presidential candidate Hillary’s claim she can carry out independent Middle East policies.

As a presidential candidate, the amount of foreign cash the Clintons have amassed from the Persian Gulf states is “simply unprecedented,” says national security analyst Patrick Poole. “These regimes are buying access. You’ve got the Saudis. You’ve got the Kuwaitis, Oman, Qatar and the UAE. There are massive conflicts of interest. It’s beyond comprehension,” Poole told TheDCNF in an interview.

Overall, the Clinton Foundation has received upwards of $85 million in donations from five Persian Gulf states and their monarchs, according to the foundation’s website. Activist groups have charged the five states — Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) — committed numerous human rights abuses.

==============================================

AND THIS---Course, this is just a wild guess on my part (smirk), but I don't think the Saudi Royals like being jerked around by a coupla hicks from Arkansas.

The Saudis put hundreds of millions into the Clintons pockets when she was Secy of State, thinking she'd be president. Must be a lot of nay-saying in the desert now that the Clintons are political dead meat.

==================================================

Turns out the Saudis helped stage Hillary's election night "victory"---giving her a huge expensive flat screen TV supposedly to air her crashing through a symbolic 500,000 dollar glass ceiling. (This from a kingdom where women are not allowed to drive).

Saudi Arabia Funded 20% Of Hillary's Presidential Campaign, Saudi Crown Prince Claims
Zerohedge ^ | Jun 14, 2016 3:57 AM | Tyler Durden / FR Posted by xzins

(NOTE: It is illegal in the United States for foreign countries to try to influence the outcome of elections by funding candidates. That appears not to have stopped the Saudis, however.)

“Saudi Arabia provided with full enthusiasm 20 percent of the cost of Hillary Clinton’s election"......the report quoted Saudi Prince Mohammed as having said. According to the US Federal Election commission, over the past two years Clinton has raised a little more than $211.8 million. 20% of this sum is $42.4 million.

The Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday that the senior royal was due to fly to Washington where he will meet Obama admin officials to discuss US-Saudi ties.

--SNIP--

Links between Saudi Arabia and the Clinton family, including with Hillary’s campaign, are well reported. In 2008, it was revealed that the Gulf kingdom had donated between $10m and $25m to the Clinton Foundation, a charity set up by Hillary’s husband and former US President Bill Clinton.

Last year the Centre for Studies and Media Affairs at the Saudi Royal Court paid public relations firm the Podesta Group $200,000 for a month- long project to provide “public relations services”. The Podesta Group was founded in 1988 by brothers John and Tony Podesta. John Podesta is the chair of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign.

"A report from intelligence officials found with “high confidence” that $320M Mexican Pesos (approximately $15M USD) was transferred from Guzman’s offshore shell assets in Saudi Arabia and Ukraine to Hillary Clinton’s private account in the Cayman Islands. This was then redirected to the Clinton Foundation."

Panama Papers. . .

With Saudi and Russian ties, Clinton machine’s tentacles are far reaching, according to Panama Papers: The Podesta Group, a lobbying firm headed by Clinton operatives, has made a pretty penny working for Saudi & Russia

The Podesta Group has a hefty contract with the Saudi regime, for which the firm provides “public relations” services on behalf of King Salman’s royal court.

Saudi Arabia paid the Podesta Group an initial “project fee” of $200,000, along with unspecified further payment, according to documents filed with the Justice Department Foreign Agents Registration Act office.

Panama Papers Reveal Clinton’s Kremlin Connection

Predictably, Sberbank has blown off the Panama Papers revelations as nothing of consequence, but the fact that they are an arm of the Kremlin and they do plenty of shady things in many countries is a matter of record. As is the fact that the Podesta Group is their lobbyist in America.

Among the Sberbank subsidiaries that the Podesta Group also represents are the Cayman Islands-based Troika Dialog Group Limited, the Cyprus-based SBGB Cyprus Limited, and the Luxembourg-based SB International. As reported this week by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, a consortium of journalists exploring the Panama Papers leak, Sberbank and Troika Dialog are used by members of Mr. Putin’s inner circle to shift public funds into sometimes questionable private investments. In other words, this is top-level money laundering of a brazen kind. As the OCCRP stated plainly, “Some of these companies were initially connected to the Troika Dialog investment fund, which was controlled and run by Sberbank after the bank bought the Troika Dialog investment bank. Troika and Sberbank declined to comment.”

Adding to shadiness of all this, the Podesta Group is playing along with the useful charade that Sberbank is simply a private financial institution, rather than the state-owned bank that it is, since that would require the lobbyists to register as agents of the Russian government under the Foreign Agent Registration Act.

And the drugs aren't the worst part of the money-laundering networks involved here. For now I'll just put it this way:

Cuba, Saudi Arabia removed from blacklist on human trafficking (July 27, 2015)

The change in status was revealed Monday by the Department of State. Cuba, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia were bumped from Tier 3 — countries whose governments are not meeting minimum standards to fight human trafficking — to the Tier 2 Watch List. . .Cuba and Saudi Arabia are being removed from the blacklist for the first time in at least a decade. Cuba has been on the Tier 3 list since it was first included in 2003, and Saudi Arabia on that list since 2005. Malaysia has twice found itself at the Tier 3 level since 2008, and its upgrade this year has drawn a firestorm of criticism from Democrats who say the administration is cynically changing the country’s status so that it can participate in the U.S.-backed Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Some alarmed observers inside Germany believe the German govtrnment has some explaining to do for Merkel's donation to the Clinton Foundation that appears under the heading “Donors and Grantors”.“Why does a Ministry supports the election campaign of a U.S. presidential candidate?” blogged Vera Lengsfeld — former civil rights activist and German parliamentarian. “It seems German taxpayers unwittingly financed Hillary Clinton’s election campaign.”

There's also a questions as to the number of German Ministries that committed tax dollars to the Clintons.

===========================================

Looks like global donors are going to drop the hammer on the Clintons. Many govt officials are questioning why their governments gave big buck tax dollars to the Clintons.......IN SECRET.

TO DATE:

<><> French federal comptrollers began following a trail of tens of millions in government money that ended up in Clinton Foundation coffers, according to a document reviewed by The NY Post.

<><> The Australian government announced that it would end its decade-long affiliation with the Clinton Foundation — amounting to as much as $25 million, according to the foundation’s Web site. (an Aussie paper reported three hundred million sent to the Clintons).

<><> Norway is also scaling back; donations reached $25 million in 2015.

Site looks bogus. The rest of their articles are all sourced from "legitimate" source. This appears to be there sole original piece. Half the links don't work.

Not buying it.

Sounds like you might be referring to this? Reports that Mexican drug kingpin "El Chapo" donated millions to Hillary Clinton's campaign are fake news. It's good to be wary, so your point is well-taken; on the other hand, Snopes' refutation here is pretty weak--basically contesting the picture accompanying the article and saying we don't have a picture from the actual conference. In any case, I'm sure if there's something to this, Assange will get something on the record beyond this article. The money-laundering ties described in the article certainly exist; tying them to El Chapo shell companies would be the tricky part, I should think.
