You’re definitely old school and a real fiscal conservative.
My father was the same. I have much respect for that, especially because he practiced what he preached. I won’t go into specifics. But, I understand your point. And to think, Trump wanted to scale it down. How much he raised is not necessarily how much he will spend. But, sometimes this is more about others wanting to celebrate than about the POTUS wanting to celebrate. Also, Trump doesn’t even drink.

I appreciate your points, but there’s a time, place, and yes, money to really let the troops take a break and be festive.
You can’t have all war and no romance without destroying the troops. Look at it as placing value in the people who shared a historical victory with Trump, a victory almost beyond words.
These are from corporations and not little people.
There WILL be voters grateful for their job-creations—even temporary positions—although they might not appreciate that the funds were raised ASIDE from taxes.
Now, that’s funny!

Don’t talk to me about the troops. I am a Vietnam vet, retired US Army, combat wounded veteran. I KNOW, KNOW!!! about the troops. I know I was spit on when I went through air ports. I know I was called a baby killer when I walked through air ports. Don’t tell me how bad the troops have it today. My generation of troops were cursed, spit on, crapped on, treated like the scum of the earth and EVEN TODAY Vietnam veterans have not been given “their parade” nor have they been “welcomed home.” We tell each other welcome home brother because precious very few told us back then and nobody does today. So don’t tell me anything about destroying troops. I know tons of GIs who are destroyed from my generation. So, until YOU have walked in our shoes, kindly just be quiet.

You need to respond to my point. John McCain was in a war too and that doesn’t make his answers golden.
The media hyping up protests the way they hyped up bad polls and for the same reason; to keep Trump supporters from showing. We need to come out in force for the inauguration if we are able.
My response to your desire to a response is to kiss it. Like I said, you know nothing of what TROOPS go through UNLESS you have been one. Since you don’t seem to bring up being a soldier in war, then you have not been there. You say cancer, etc. So, you apparently haven’t had cancer otherwise you would have made a response to that and you didn’t. If someone was in war and spilled their blood on the field of battle so keyboard warriors like you could type out your crap. go away boy. You ain’t been a man and couldn’t carry a soldier who has been in combat’s duffle bag. End of conversation with you.
