White House spins on behalf of Obama's dog after Sunny bites visitor
The Washington Examiner ^ | January 13, 2017 | Sean Langille

The 18-year-old female visitor required stitches on her right cheek.

When asked about the incident Friday, White House press secretary Josh Earnest would not confirm or deny the situation but instead offered praise of the presidential pets. "They have represented themselves and the country quite well in their status as first dogs," Earnest said.

And she tried to kiss and hug it.

Seriously stupid move.

They certainly did a lot less damage in the White House than Obama.

There are no bad dogs, only bad dog owners.

In all honesty, anyone who has spent any time around a dog...especially if they are on the younger side and you are playing close to their face or even just bending in to “snuggle”, a dog can get excited and not necessarily “bite”, but their canine can “knick” the face. Easy on the death wish. If this was agression, you would see a whole different thing here. I’ve been attacked. This is not even close to what a dog bite looks like.

That dog’s days are numbered. One more week.

And no more White House staff of 10 or more to feed, bathe, water and pick up poop. Just be Barry and Mooch.

Who will likely drop that dog off at the shelter on their way outta town.

Surprising - in my experience these dogs are pretty friendly. By the age of 4, most are past the puppy stage when they tend to take many little bites and nips.

On a sidenote, I wonder if Bo and Sunny will be abandoned by the Obamas, once they've left the White House and don't need the dogs for cuddly "happy family" photo-ops anymore.

That was the sad fate of Bill Clinton's chocolate lab, Buddy. The dog was just a prop for BJ Clinton - you could tell Clinton didn't like dogs (and Buddy must have sensed that, because he bit Clinton's hand in view of photographers).

After the Clintons left the White House, Buddy was shut away at the empty Chappaqua mansion with a careless dogkeeper who let him run out into the street - where Buddy was struck by a car and killed.

There are reports that those dogs pooped in the White House. Still, I could live with that over the fact that these low life grifters occupied the place for 8 years.

Man if this was Trump’s dog, there would be gavel-to-gavel coverage and demands for Trump to step down.

AND the dog would be at the animal control center awaiting termination.

It might not have been a bite. It could have been just by a tooth impact against her face, with the dog actually holding back, and not actually biting. I saw nearly the same exact thing happen to a young kid who decided to stick his face down close to a bowl, where a dog was eating.

Bottom line here are irresponsible dog owners.

I wonder if this girl is part of the older daughter’s choom gang and she was stoned and got in the dog’s face.

That was a bad bite right on her face an inch below her eye. Blood was streaming down her face. The dog should be put down. It's how I believe.

Respectfully disagree.

Dogs know that guests to Obama's White House should be bitten if they get a chance.

Good on the dog, I'm sure he had his reasons.

Based on the pictures, this is black on white crime.

Oh man, that's hilarious, I don't care who you are!
