THE TRUTH BEHIND MEGYN KELLY’S NBC DEAL (Compared to "All About Eve" Harrington)
Newsweek ^ | January 10, 2017 | MICHAEL WOLFF

Posted on 01/13/2017 10:12:27 AM PST by PJ-Comix

The Megyn Kelly story is about best laid plans going awry—ironically awry.

She bargained to be the biggest voice of the dominant news channel in America — and, as well, the best paid on-air personality in the history of television news. Instead, she’s become merely a contender among the knives-out egos in the contested (and ever dwindling) territory of network news—and at a steep discount to the brass-ring salary she might have had.

The Murdochs, father and sons, thought Kelly was going to be their way of cleansing Fox of Roger Ailes and his brand of diss-the-elites conservatism—and of letting them, after 20 years of Ailes’s control, set their powerful network’s agenda. Instead, the network, even without Ailes, now seems ever-more in the Ailes mold.

From the top-rated news network to the lowest.

The sting of truth when one finds out what their worth is.

>>The only place I ever see Newsweek or Time is in my doctor’s waiting room.

I saw what I thought was the cover of Time. I picked it up and wow! It was the entire magazine, about 26 pages.

Trump did not pick the fight....Megan Kelly did first thing out of the box...her attitude, rather like Rubio’s to General Mattis yesterday, was one of accusation and total disrespect to;...never a good thing whether it be Trump or some other person.....she knew she was going to do this, orders from on high?...she was a bundle of nerves, even said she was.

I have a different take. I suspect FOX wanted her gone, knows she’s absolute poison, much like Lyn’ Ted, Levin, and Beck, so they helped push up her salarary, dumped her off on MSNBC and now get the last laugh as MSNBC gets buried in a bunch of overpriced prima donnas. And Fox follows up with winner Tucker Carlson. Win-Win.

I first suggested this 10 days ago, and then had to explain it five days later.

I remember after the debate she was talking with Brit Hume.

He said something to the effect about the debate being a barn burner and her reply was along the lines of what about me?

That was the exact moment she lost me. Debates should be about the candidates and never about the moderator.

Shep is an embarrassment! He is clearly a lib but parades as an objective newscaster...at least Whoraldo doesn’t hide who he is—a lib.

Wish I had a picture to post of Megyn starting to cry when Trump won :) Winning is the greatest revenge ;)

I’m reminded of the line from Boss Jim Gettys

Gettys (Trump) to Kaine (Me-again):

“You’re going to need more than one lesson. I’m going to give you more lessons.”

Howard Kurtz on Fox News Buzz show said that Megyn Kelly turned down a $100 million contract with Fox because her regular show was too time intensive.

How great was this moment?

It was awesome. Occurred to me that Trump's first words as a debate candidate were 'Only Rosie O'Donnell' and his last words at his first news conference were 'You're fired'. Nice and to the point.....
