Ryan on Trump's mass deportation plan: 'It's not happening'
The Hill ^ | 01/13/2017 | Paulina Firozi

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) insisted that President-elect Donald Trump's campaign promise to deport 11 million immigrants is not going to happen.

During a CNN town hall on Thursday night, Ryan was asked by a recipient of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) program who had with her a young daughter whether she would be deported.

"I can see you love your daughter, you are a nice person who has a great future ahead of you, and I hope your future is here," he said.

"What we have to do is find a way to make sure that you can get right with the law, and we've got to do this in a good way so that the rug doesn't get pulled out from under you and your family gets separated."

CNN host Jake Tapper questioned Ryan about Trump's mass deportation plan, reminding him of the campaign promise to create a "deportation force" to round up millions of immigrants.

"I know, I know," the Speaker said, laughing. "But I'm here to tell you, in Congress, it's not happening."

E verify is a good concept but really hard for employers to use. Employers are on the hook for these lying employees.

And there’s the rub. All Trump has to do is tell his department heads....enforce the law. And make sure it’s done all the way down the chain.
There are a couple of new laws that would be nice but most of the laws to deport are already in place.

Ryan thinks he is in the Executive (enforcement) Branch? Just pass the laws jerk! Trump will enforce them.

‘Ryan still seems to believe that he’s holding all the cards, for some odd reason.’

Ryan is riding for a fall. He’d better enjoy the moment because it’s not going to last.

Holding a personal "Town Hall" a week before inauguration was a brazen shot-across-the-bow act against Trump by the arrogant Ryan.

It was actually the first event in Ryan's 2020 presidential bid.

Not much we can do about it at this time, but I hope Mr. Trump pinches him off by the neck every time blind ambition strikes this cheesehead-on-steroids from Wisconsin.

“But I’m here to tell you, in Congress, it’s not happening.”

This might be true but Trump does not need the Congress to do anything. He just enforces the existing law.

Ryan—step aside or get run over.

We have had enough of your spineless “leadership”.

You never said “boo” to Obama—so keep quiet.

Someone should inform the moonbat Paulina Firozi at “The Hill” that it’s 40 - 50 ILLEGAL ALIENS, not “11 million immigrants.”

They have been saying “11 million” since Reagan was in office. I guess its hard for them to change their number. A million or two enter the country illegally every year and about the same amount overstay their visas. Some end up leaving on their own after a while depending on mostly economic and political conditions, so it is a somewhat fluid number. But even the INS, DHS, and the Census Bureau estimate 30 million or more people in the country illegally. So yes this “11 million” figure gets more than a little tiresome.

Well, Ryan seems to be doing his part.

He should have consulted with Obama before making any

prediction about Trump.

"First, Trump NEVER stated he would mass deport 11 million, which these liars claim is the total here."

Yep...the total is totally false...DJT will deport the 25-million illegals/criminals sucking our economy dry...
