You;re splitting hairs. Had the article not more definitively clarified that Israel was the most important ally in that region of the world then it could be classified as fake news. Headlines are meant to grab attention. Is any ally really more important than another anyway? With Israel being among those allies who are most important to the U.S., it’s technically correct. I’m not sure that we can with any degree of confidence define our allies in a hierarchical order. As they all constantly trading places based upon situations cropping up around the globe, and their reactions to them, as our most important at any given moment.
