Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush Hager wrote a warm letter to the Obamas' daughters, Malia and Sasha, cheering them on as they begin the next step in their lives after spending eight years in the White House.
"Now you are about to join another rarified club, one of former First Children — a position you didn’t seek and one with no guidelines. But you have so much to look forward to," wrote the Bush sisters in a Time magazine op-ed published on Thursday.
"You will be writing the story of your lives, beyond the shadow of your famous parents, yet you will always carry with you the experiences of the past eight years,"
In their letter, the Bush twins recalled the warm memories of their own childhood and their experience growing up in the White House.
"The four of us wandered the majestic halls of the house you had no choice but to move in to. When you slid down the banister of the solarium, just as we had done as 8-year-olds and again as 20-year-olds chasing our youth, your joy and laughter were contagious," they wrote.
The letter also urged the president's daughters to look past the harsh criticism of their parents and the immense pressure that comes with being in the first family.
"You have lived through the unbelievable pressure of the White House. You have listened to harsh criticism of your parents by people who had never even met them. You stood by as your precious parents were reduced to headlines," the Bush sisters said. "Your parents, who put you first and who not only showed you but gave you the world. As always, they will be rooting for you as you begin your next chapter. And so will we."

Perhaps, though I just wonder why they felt compelled to do it...seems Bushes get along better with dems by all measures.
I think it would have been far classier if either the Bush daughters or Obama girls had penned a letter to Baron.
Dear Malia and Sasha: You have experienced the same things as our cousins have experienced, what with the prejudice that comes with being low life minorities and having a gay father. WE suffered from some prejudice also because grandmother Barbara is a man and you know how that feels what with Moochelle having some really random hormones.
All we can say is that you will get over it. Your uncle Saul will have a nice boy to turn you out to, just keep your head covered and don’t show your hairy legs when out in public and you whould be able to keep most of your female parts.

Wow. Jenna really screwed the pooch with Golden Globe flub the other night. Had to drag in a PR firm and her sister to extricate her from that car wreck.
OTOH, W is going to need a new Democrat former first lady to hug and call his sister in law if Hilary goes to jail. Maybe he’s trying to grease the skids to the wookie.
This letter was published in Time-Warner-Time Magazine. Nobody reads Time anymore.

I think Baron is younger than the Bush girls were. I’m not sure they would identify with his position as much as they would two young women about the same age as when they left the White House. (at least in the ball park)
Some folks will wonder what the game is. Alternative descriptions are valid.

Gag me. Why do people with any sized spotlight feel the need to espouse their unsolicited opinions/advice to anyone...especially these two twerking ho’s in the making. Oh yeh...I know why...because they KNOW that their goofy disingenuous letters will be leaked to the press and they’ll get attention again. Ugh. OY Bushes...Pu-leeze GO AWAY ALREADY!!

I just think it is really annoying that daddy Bush hangs out with BJ Clinton—brother of a different mother and did absolutely nothing to help Trump or GOP in most important election since Reagan...
And now his daughters are lovingly reaching out to the most pampered first kids in US history with their numerous extravagant vacations, White House Hip Hop concerts, and $20,000 gowns...
I’ll admit, I am biased; and I am not a fan of either of those first families, and the whole thing leaves bad taste in my mouth.
Barak and Michelle subcontracted the childcare of their daughters to their Grandmother, Grandma Robinson, who moved into the White House with them and was given a taxpayer funded job paying $170,000 a year to be their paid nanny (when she was not drafting Obama Admin policy with Val Jarret and M.O.).
After 8 years and raking in close to 1.5 million dollars of taxpayer money for child care, Grandma Robinson will retire with a government pension for life of over 150,000 dollars a year for her hard work raising the Obama girls in the White House.

The Bush girls are very rude to ignore all the very hard work Grandma Robinson did raising the poor waifs in the isolated environment of the Obama Administration White House.
Sounds as if the younger daughter has even been churlish to her parents lately, refusing to accompany them to farewell events where the "happy family" photo-op is usually de rigueur.

When people on our side (and believe me, I use that in loose terms, because the public sees it that way) act with compassion to neutral figures, it represents us well.
Heaven knows how many times their parents didn’t, but that’s something somewhat disconnected.
The Bush girls turned out to be even dumber than dad. Hopefully Obamas’ kids will avoid that fate.

What, and miss the adulation and praise of the press and millions of MyFace readers lauding how magnanimous you are for taking time to write?
They’ll be able to land great jobs with no skill or responsibility and
outrageous salaries. Lucky them.
