What a wonderful example of projection.

Good idea of yours “Senator Warren, I will assure you that no organization that is related to the sequestered Trump enterprises will receive any funding because, immediately upon taking my post, I will order that all HUD contracts to build, repair or finance any and all construction will be TERMINATED. I will then work vigilantly to closed down HUD.”

Doesn’t her argument mean that right now, Obama’s HUD secretary could be sending millions of HUD dollars to Trump and his family?

He can’t assure her. Because first of all, it would be illegal to specifically prevent ONE person or family from receiving grant money they qualified for. And second of all, there’s no way he could be certain that no HUD money ended up funneling into some enterprise that was connected to the now-buttoned-up Trump enterprise. That’s the whole point of a blind trust, we have no idea if anything we do helps it or hurts it.

If you want to guarantee Trump and his business get no government money, you have to keep the entire business public.

Imagine asking the current treasury secretary if he could guarantee that no policy he pushed the past 8 years had ever benefited Barack Obama or his family.....

I would have been nice if Dr Carson just assured her, though.

Warren was just trying to set it up in case some tenant of one of the Trump Organization's many residential buildings found a way to derive a small government benefit, the left would calculate what percentage of that benefit returned to the Trump Organization in the form of rent money, call a press conference and make a stink rivaling the Spanish Inquisition.

He should have said “I’ll guarantee that if you’ll guarantee that not one penny will go into any Democrat Senator or their cronies pockets.

One of an endless stream of posturing and sound bites past, present and future in the ongoing propaganda campaign against what may be a phyrric victory.

If the gops don’t come up with a plan for health care repeal, replacement and management for starters they are going to pay hell.

I’ve looked for their plan. I can’t find it.

The wall and the the illegals problem had better get handled and damn soon and right as well.

Ditching HHS, EPA and a bunch of alphabet soup agencies is a pipe dream though.

I’m hoping once these X-Y-Millenials see what a Real President can do, since they’ve never actually seen one in their lifetimes, some of then will begin to get the picture of how a republic is supposed to work and leave the democrats by the side of the road.....oh, and guess what? We had a unicorn in our backyard this afternoon! Isn’t that exciting?

Well .. that’s not a workable plan.

What it needs is someone with a better attitude; who can tell them .. I studied, I worked hard, I educated myself, and I never gave up. Attitude will determine altitude.

And .. better housing - which is safe - can go a long way to lift the stereo-type of the ghetto. Young people there have no hope. However, people like the Trump Boys can come in with a wonderful plan - under budget and ahead of time; giving the people a working; warm; safe place to live.

You can accomplish that by making them accountable when they rent their place. Have a contract (of sorts), and enforce it. Make them realize “this is not here so you and your drunken friends can tear it apart”.

Nobody’s been willing to do that.

Hopefully, someday the Republicans will have a sitting President and control both the House and Senate.

If that day ever does come, then closing down HUD will be a very workable plan.

Well, maybe that’s what PE Trump has in mind .. but he’s keeping it private now. I believe that could be possible, and it may be why Carson has been so quiet about his new position.
