Donald Trump has selected Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to chair a vaccine safety and scientific integrity commission, the vaccine skeptic told reporters at Trump Tower after a meeting with the president-elect.

Kennedy Jr. told reporters that he accepted Trump’s offer, but did not provide further details on the commission.

The selection is sure to draw criticism as Kennedy Jr. has likened vaccines to the “holocaust.”

Sugar can have an impact on behavior.

In my youth, my mother was very strict with soda and cookies (and many other things).

“There are many things my father taught me here in this room. He taught me: keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.”

Michael Corleone

Note: the bolded portion is ranked #58 in the American Film Institute’s list of the top 100 movie quotations in American cinema. That portion has often been attributed to Sun Tzu and sometimes to Niccolò Machiavelli, but there are no published sources yet found which predate its use in this film. There is, however,an Italian proverb that follows closely: “Dai nemici mi guardo io dagli amici mi guardi dio!” – I can protect myself from my enemies, may God protect me from my friends. Voltaire said, “God protect me from my friends, I’ll take care of my enemies”.

Agreed.

FWIW, I just happened to see Robert DeNiro interviewed about vaccines several months ago. I only saw some of it, but I could tell the interviewer was not happy that DeNiro said emphatically: “I am not anti-vaccine. I’m for SAFE vaccines - let’s just make sure they’re safe.”

Sounds reasonable to me.

“It’s the equivalent of being chosen to oversee a panel making sure the NFL Super Bowl footballs are ready.”

This position is nowhere near as important as that. If it disappeared tomorrow, no one would ever notice.

but I can’t subscribe to any conspiracy theories given the vast number of doctors that monitor vaccines.

I think I read a statistic that the average doctor lives to be 50-60 years old. They are living up to that statistic in our area.

I don’t think vaccines are causing widespread problems. I don’t think they’re causing autism.

From a speech I heard by Trump, he’s not convinced that vaccines are safe.

Are you kidding? Many of us think this is, once again, a great move by a man who understands.

I will defend this all day long. I have two grandchildren who have been harmed by the loaded 10 at a time vaccines infants receive.

I’m not anti vaccine but believe they should be spread out and that some of the preservatives in them should be examined.

As I was watching FOX news, I believe Brett Baier reported that the report was not accurate. The president and Kennedy talked about vaccines and safety issues, and potentially having a safety council, but one had NOT been formed and Kennedy has NOT been offered any position.

The Trumpster is probably hoping that the other members of the commission might be able to teach Kennedy something. He’s such an opponent, why not put him in a position where he has to put up, or shut up.

“let’s just make sure they’re safe”

Have parents pay up front for vaccines.

Then have them report on their child’s status electronically on days 2,4,7,and 12 exactly to get reimbursed in full, miss a day and lose 25% of the reimbursement.

Within months, that would be a clinical trial on millions.

I Am no fan of any liberal, however scepticism is needed in the vaccine industry that is one of the largest clients of aborted baby cells

I think her post was tongue in cheek. At least, that’s the way I took it. The last time I jumped in on a thread about vaccines, I met some really nasty freepers along the way. I don’t feel like listening to them again or being called names but I will say some agency or commission needs to oversee what the AMA, FDA and CDC pushes regarding vaccines. I don’t care if it’s a democrat or a crazy bed bug. There are questions of safety!!!!! Just because cases are covered up and not revealed doesn’t mean all is right with that world.

I have worked with children over the years and just this year substitute taught for the first time since retirement. I have never seen so many dysfunctional students. . .many leaving the classroom for meds at the nurse’s office all through the day. . .there are more special ed students in the district than regular. I mean really. . .jr. high boys being vaccinated for sexual diseases? Then there are the high powered pills being given for conditions that don’t require it. Levequin for one. Check out the side effects on that drug. It is a Johnson and Johnson product with many other generic names. Most people don’t have a clue when they are experiencing a side effect. . .they just get “doctored” for another ailment. . .and then more pills.

I am a hospital volunteer and can’t work in the gift shop until flu season is over since I didn’t get the mandatory flu shot. Well those little old ladies that got the shot. . . .many have become ill.

Let’s face it. . .IMHO we are now almost in third world country status given the diseases that have entered the country within the past few years.

“commission”

Autism is a big, expensive problem.

Perhaps maybe a 1000 volunteer families should be paid to have a camera in their living room 24/7/365 from age 1 to age 6.

Scientists can then see autism develop in at least 10 children.
