Ted Cruz just took the Dems' Jeff Sessions hearing hypocrisy and killed it with FIRE
Conservative Review ^ | 01/10/2017 | By: Maria Jeffrey

During Senator Jeff Sessions’, R-Ala. (C,78%) Attorney General confirmation hearing today in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Ted Cruz, R-Tex. (A, 97%) pointed out numerous Democratic hypocrisies that have been manifested in the past few years and during the hearing.

Democrats on the committee, especially Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. (F, 0%) had been grilling Sessions on whether he would uphold abortion laws in the United States if he becomes Attorney General. Senator Patrick Leahy, D, Vt. (F, 6%) interrogated Sessions on LGBT rights, questioning whether Sessions would uphold civil rights laws as Attorney General.

But did the Democrats care when Obama routinely flouted the law?

Ted Cruz wasn’t having it:

CLICK ABOVE LINK FOR THE VIDEO...

“When the Obama Justice Department sent millions of dollars of taxpayer money to sanctuary cities defying federal immigration law, the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration refused to enforce federal immigration law…the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration released tens of thousands of illegal aliens including rapists and murderers into the general population, Democrats on this committee were silent.”

Ted Cruz was kicking ass. And he wasn’t done. He pointed out Democratic hypocritical silence on Obama flouting the law and paying a ransom to Iran and for releasing Guantanamo terrorists without congressional approval.

Senator Cruz’s comments were met with acclaim from conservatives on Twitter:

And there goes @tedcruz back on the top of his game...calling out Democrats hypocrisy/lawlessness. Woo-hoo

Ted Cruz is absolutely destroying the democrats on the Senate Floor. Thank God we have him in the senate. #SenateHearings #ConfirmSessions

Preach it, Ted Cruz.

Oh, Good Lord. You’re letting the perfect become the enemy of the merely really good.

“You Cruz haters are really nuts. Do you really think you are pure as the wind driven snow?”

I thought Cruz’s behavior was inexcusable during the campaign.
Today, however, he did fine. I don’t care if he has ulterior motives - our side needs SOMEONE (besides Trump) to tell off these leftist vermin, and it certainly doesn’t look like many others on our side (including Sessions) are willing (or able) to do that.

TED CRUZ is a fighter in the SENATE. He just isn’t POTUS material.

Well, my question is where were they, because prior to the election he sure wasn’t talking up our ticket.

Tell me how Ted would be helping our nation today if Hillary had been elected? Did he try to prevent it? No.

He took a massive chance, evidently selling our nation’s interests out on “his principles”.

There’s not enough of a story in print yet. What I wrote is about it. I didn’t think it deserved a thread, yet.

If Cruz hadn’t been getting advice from the likes of Glenn Beck, he might have run a better campaign and not come across as a nut case. Now that the election is behind him, and he’s hopefully seen the light on Beck, he’ll return to his old form and someday publicly denounce Beck.

Cruz needs to be on the Supreme Court, no doubt about it. He has dismembered every sniveling liberal that ever confronted him.

I would support that.

Jesus H. Christ in a sidecar! You Cruz haters need to grow up and recognize that when it counts, he’s a team player.

Did your parents have any children that lived?

Your mistrust is understandable, believe me, but it’s quite possible he realized the error of his ways. Ted had been hitting it out of the park lately.

Maybe we should think about giving him another chance.

I was never a Trump supporter, but I am willing to give him another chance, not to be president, but to be a good player on the team. It can’t be easy for these people to fail so publically and go back and start over. Today was a good day for him. As long as he works to drain the swamp, he’s good.

As SCOTUS he can do those weasel things we bitch about. As Senator he can REMAIN a gadfly. Will he get tired of it and not run again. We need to utilize him best. BTW his hair is getting thinner. I’d hide on the court. His wife should stay out of the public.

Well said.

Add in the disgraceful lies his campaign spread about Dr Ben Carson in Iowa and the operation Cruz ran was one of the most disgraceful I’ve seen.

A man shows his true colours in the heat of battle. I haven’t forgotten what Cruz showed us he is, and I bet President Trump has not either .
