Ted Cruz just took the Dems' Jeff Sessions hearing hypocrisy and killed it with FIRE
Conservative Review ^ | 01/10/2017 | By: Maria Jeffrey

During Senator Jeff Sessions’, R-Ala. (C,78%) Attorney General confirmation hearing today in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Ted Cruz, R-Tex. (A, 97%) pointed out numerous Democratic hypocrisies that have been manifested in the past few years and during the hearing.

Democrats on the committee, especially Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. (F, 0%) had been grilling Sessions on whether he would uphold abortion laws in the United States if he becomes Attorney General. Senator Patrick Leahy, D, Vt. (F, 6%) interrogated Sessions on LGBT rights, questioning whether Sessions would uphold civil rights laws as Attorney General.

But did the Democrats care when Obama routinely flouted the law?

Ted Cruz wasn’t having it:

CLICK ABOVE LINK FOR THE VIDEO...

“When the Obama Justice Department sent millions of dollars of taxpayer money to sanctuary cities defying federal immigration law, the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration refused to enforce federal immigration law…the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration released tens of thousands of illegal aliens including rapists and murderers into the general population, Democrats on this committee were silent.”

Ted Cruz was kicking ass. And he wasn’t done. He pointed out Democratic hypocritical silence on Obama flouting the law and paying a ransom to Iran and for releasing Guantanamo terrorists without congressional approval.

Senator Cruz’s comments were met with acclaim from conservatives on Twitter:

And there goes @tedcruz back on the top of his game...calling out Democrats hypocrisy/lawlessness. Woo-hoo

Ted Cruz is absolutely destroying the democrats on the Senate Floor. Thank God we have him in the senate. #SenateHearings #ConfirmSessions

Preach it, Ted Cruz.

If you watched the election, then you damn well know that Cruz was the only candidate that was in it for us. The rest were in it for themselves.

Cruz has been totally dedicated to saving this country for his entire career. Records are for observation.

I will give Cruz more benefit of the doubt than he gave Trump.

Outside of the Democrats and the Left, I have never seen a group of people less capable with being honest with themselves.

Ted’s folks are some of the most delusional people I’ve seen post here.

The guy is more slippery than an eel, and about as capable of telling the truth as Hillary Clinton.

You know, that’s unfortunate.

If we look at how close our nation came to going down the tubes, it’s just not acceptable the behavior of Tead Curz last year.

Here are a few things on the line.

Supreme Court and federal judges
Military and the Leftist changes
Our aircraft carriers, from only zero to one at sea
The racism against Whites
Our press totally out of control
Our president arming and funding three different violently anti US terrorist groups
Obama, Clinton, Kerry, MCain, and Graham trying to get us into.WWIII
Christans under persecution in the US
Abortion running rampant, government funding on the line
Illegal aliens
The wall
Black lives Matters
Mall riots

I could name another twenty things on the line. It didn’t matter.

One thing alone...

If Hillary had gotten to name even three SCOTUS justices, our nation would have been screwed for fifty years

The man that wanted desperately to lead Conservatism, was so convinced it was important to stand on principle, he refused to do everything in his power to make sure Hillary wasn’t elected.

Yes, that man does know right from wrong generally, but there are serious fatal lapses in his critical thinking.

Late last year he was willing to watch our nation go over a cliff so he could claim he was a solid principled Conservative.

There’s just no explaining that away.

Any man that could do that is not one of us at heart.

If he isn’t I’m not going to join in praising him for anything.

He us the enemy within, and there’s no greater danger.

He and McCain are basically the same problem, just coming at it from a different angle.

You can’t trust either one.

Tead developed a following, a slice of Conservatism, and would not let go of them so they could help elect Trump.

NeverTrump was his first calling.

The nation had to take a back seat. Think about that.

I’ll never forget it, because that makes this guy a serious danger to our cause, our nation.

No Conservative I’ve ever met could do what Tead did. Not one.

You mean going to a Trump campaign office and calling people, stumping for Trump wasn’t sufficient? Wow. He wasn’t a “NeverTrumper”, but instead, someone who personally had been hurt by Trump’s words and actions.

Going after him for not whole-heartedly endorsing him after Trump accused his father of being involved in a plot to kill a former sitting president is not wrong. It’s showing some backbone. He did eventually support Trump. But, the primary was brutal. Of all the people involved, Ted was the one who had the best reasons to not support Trump. But, he did. Unlike the traitorous Bushes.

I’ve made extensive comments on this thread that address this fully.

I appreciate the differing opinion, but an hour of phone calls and one day of making appearances where he said he’d vote for the ticket out of about 100 days just prior to and after the Convention don’t cut it.

It still boils down to Ted’s inability to look beyond the insults for the good of the nation.

You honestly think it would have been a great choice on Ted’s part if it resulted in Hillary getting 2-4 SCOTUS picks that would tilt this nation Left for the next 30-40 years?

You may have made extensive comments on this thread, but that doesn’t preclude the fact that he did make an effort, which is significantly more than what any of the NeverTrumpers did, significantly more than any of the traitors who signed a pledge to support the candidate and then didn’t. Significantly more than the press did. All-in-all, he didn’t heartily endorse him, but he did support him. And that was better than nothing.

I don’t know what it is with some of you, but a guy who blacked out supporting the team for all, but 1.1 days is now someone you champion.

I guess those in it every single day for long hours were fools.

According to you, 1.1 day was exemplary.

We’ll have to agree to disagree here.

better than nothing.

A fairly accurate assessment of Cruz in the past month or two. Prior to that, he was worse than nothing.
