German politicians have raised concern about thousands of NATO troops and equipment, along with hundreds of tanks, that have been sent to Poland and countries bordering Russia in what has been touted by Washington as “defense against Russian aggression.”
“It does not help us if tanks will be going up and down on both sides of the border,” Brandenburg’s leader and SPD party member, Dietmar Woidke, told RBB. “I hope everyone will keep calm.”

My guess — after obama let Putin have his way with the Ukraine, Poland was feeling mighty nervous. Tanks show a NATO commitment to Poland to protect them from Russia.

Nearly half of Germany’s women now feel unsafe walking about their local neighbourhood, a survey has revealed, with many taking precautions such as pepper spray with them when out at night.
The survey, by Emnid for Bild am Sonntag further found that 58 per cent of women believe that public places have become less safe in recent times, following news of events such as the mass sexual assault attacks on women in Cologne on New Year’s Eve last year.
Forty-eight per cent of the women surveyed said they have changed their habits to avoid certain areas in their neighbourhood, while 16 per cent said they carried pepper spray when venturing out after dark.
I’m not sure. Maybe Putin using his military-industrial-intelligence complex to take chunks out of his neighbours has something to do with it?

I remember all the tanks that were prepositioned throughout Germany during the Cold War. IMO, they helped to keep the peace.

These people are deranged at best. They have complacently lost it.
I think Europe can handle any Russian aggression without U.S. troops.
If they changed their habits and started wearing habits they might be safer.
