Donald Trump wasted no time responding to Meryl Streep's remarks at Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards where the actress gave a somber speech about the President-elect.
Trump called Streep "one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood" in a tweet Monday morning calling her a "Hillary flunky who lost big."
Shortly after the 74th annual Golden Globes wrapped, where "La La Land" and "Moonlight" were the night’s big winners, Trump told the NY Times he had not seen the show or Streep's remarks. He also added that he was "not surprised" for coming under attack from "liberal movie people" especially a "Hillary Lover" like Streep.
He continued to defend his behavior from an interview with a disabled reporter in 2015 in which he insists he didn't mock anyone, a moment Streep had said was an example of Trump's "instinct to humiliate."
"I was never mocking anyone. I was calling into question a reporter who had gotten nervous because he had changed his story," he told the paper in a phone interview after the Globes. "People keep saying I intended to mock the reporter’s disability, as if Meryl Streep and others could read my mind, and I did no such thing."
His tweets Monday morning echoed his thoughts late Sunday night.

(Rant part duex): The truth is always the last option ever considered by liberals. They occupy a world of fantasy narrative construct, where they alone are good and possess virtue and those who oppose or even question their current narrative are “evil deniers”, worthy only of contempt! Reality and truth are to be avoided, censored, and outlawed if possible. The more true truth is (especially God’s Bible Truth), the more it is to be avoided and maligned! This reality of being reality “deniers” leads them into a permanent anger and tantrum mindset (no matter their station in life). It’s not “fair” reality doesn’t conform to their fantasy demands! There is no way to reason with them, (as reason is “bigotry”) so they must be vanquished!
As Hollywood lives on fantasy... it may explain while in their wealth and fame, DemWits like Streep, etc. are the most ardent reality avoiders on the planet. A planet they claim to protect by demanding we “lessers” live little more than a rationed subsistence, while they fly all around it in private jets that emit more CO2 in an hour than our SUVs in a decade. Hypocrisy thy name is liberal.
Acting is the only profession where its members seem to think they are experts on just about everything.
My dentist does not lecture me about politics. He just does his dentistry thing. My grocer does not lecture me about politics. He just does his grocery thing.
Actors need to be more like dentists and grocers. (How’s that for an odd sentence?)

I would like to see PE Trump challenge these celebrity flunkies to shut up and run for elected office if they think their own intellect and political views are so important. If they did they’d get the same kind of smackdown Hillary did.
These “celebs” are nobodies that pretend to be somebody and somehow get rich pretending. But that’s a different rant.
These celebrities think they are so important. When did these award shows become a platform for celebrities to strut around doing their virtue-signaling stunts?
How do they think it’s smart to make these comments, when a huge part of their audience likes Trump?

Interesting that they are hard on Trump for falsely showing that he makes fun of the disabled, but they were quick to defend the people who tortured a disabled person in Chicago.
