Sorry but don’t agree. Insults are one of the few things that throw them off their game. Bush was “above it all” and “mature” and what did that get him?

He’s a smash-mouth New Yorker, always has been, always will be apparently. It’s just what he is. He’s managed to rise to the pinnacle of political success out of nowhere, after a long and very successful career in the private sector. Maybe, just maybe, he knows what he’s doing? Who else on the national political scene has utterly laid bare exactly what these people are? I can only think of one other, Sarah Palin. Stirring the pot led to it, for both of them.

I don't quite agree. George W. Bush is a prime example of one who took the high road. Hollywood stars used to bash him too in these bogus award ceremonies. His response was to ignore them.
All this did was cause the Left to pile on him all the more, eventually reducing him to a laughingstock that nobody respected or took seriously anymore. Even conservatives started using him as a punching bag.
I hope Trump keeps returning fire. It's obviously working for him.

I’m 46 years old, and I don’t think I’ve ever watched a movie with her in it.
GWB was an absolute door mat. I wish Trump would get his message out without being personal about it. Makes him look small. Just my preference, the man can do what he wants.

Streeps’ acting has always been “Meryl Streep performing as X” rather than simply “X”. That is bad acting, but it is often praised. It often wins awards, too. Actors who simply become “X” don’t stand out. They don’t get attention. And awards go to ‘performances’ that are noticed.
