“At his age was/is his voice okay to announce anymore?”

I guess you never heard of Peter Thomas-—a professional,award-winning narrator until he was almost 90.

Not quite the same BUT when it is time to go, it is time to go.
Just leaving him in place because he has been doing it for xx number of years isn’t really proving anything.

As to the ‘objections’ remember the fuss ‘we’ raised over Billy Dale & the travel office?, Yes not the same but of the same trend.

I, for one, hope Trump does NOT pardon the turkey for Thanksgiving.

As far as I am concerned, it is a dumb ‘tradition’ and have been hoping someone would have already done it.

BO doesn’t realize how much more I would have thought of him if he would have invited the Turkey to be the ‘centerpiece’ of the Thanksgiving Dinner.

I was long overdue for bed when I posted that,EST, and realized after the fact that it was a tad snarky.

Sorry.

“Andrea Bocelli is BLIND. It has nothing to do with weakness of Character.”

*****************

I don’t get the point of your post at all. So he’s blind. He performs all over the world, most recently at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He was invited to perform at the inauguration but declined after taking “too much heat” from his fans on social media who were intimidating him with a #BoycottBocelli hashtag.

Here is a renowned star of international fame with all the logistical benefits and security protection you could think of, yet he backs down out of fear of a hashtag and a little intimidation by people who are no more than a bunch of snowflakes and political zealots who are out to disrupt the time honored and traditional inauguration ceremonies of a new president.

He did not do the honorable thing which is to always stand on principle. What does his blindness have to do with it? This is a character issue.

One of his most memorable songs is “Because We Believe” which says:

Once in every life
There comes a time
We walk out all alone
And into the light

I wonder if he see’s the irony in what he himself wrote?

One of the comments over at The Hill:

“Democrats are like crazy girlfriends who are determined to get in a big fight with you in public no matter what.”

“There’s no inauguration when a sitting president wins reelection, so 12 sounds about right. “

Really? You mean the parade and address and swearing in doesn’t happen? Are you just 12 years old and don’t remember the 2005 and 2013 inaugurals??
