McCain, Graham call for greater sanctions against Russia

WASHINGTON — Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham pushed Sunday for greater sanctions against Russia for trying to influence the U.S. election and said President-elect Donald Trump is in danger of being in conflict with congressional Republicans if he doesn't get tougher on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The two senators, in a joint interview on Meet the Press, also said the U.S. intelligence community's evidence of Russian interference during the American presidential campaign is overwhelming, and that Trump should accept those findings.

"You can't go on with your life as a democracy when a foreign entity is trying to compromise the election process," said Graham of South Carolina. "So Mr. President-elect, it is very important that you show leadership here. Let me say this: if after having been briefed by intelligence leaders, Donald Trump is still unsure as to what the Russians did, that would be incredibly unnerving to me because the evidence is overwhelming. All I'm asking him is to acknowledge that Russia interfered, and push back."

When the Grim Reaper comes and taps McCain on the shoulder, what will happen to Lindsey? Will he just sort of fade away, ala Marty McFly?

Trump could reign in McCain by declassifying some or all of Songbird’s Vietnam record. ~Grin~

I do see Trump getting more Senators elected for 2018 that will help nullify these two. 25 Dims senators up for reelection and many in states Trump won.

The bought out globalist slaves (media and people like McCain and Lindsay) are doubling down on this. It appears so stupid to anyone with a brain. They all must be hooked up with electrodes to their genitals. There is no other explanation.

Today's LA Times headline: DOES TRUMP OWE VICTORY TO RUSSIA? With a photo of Hillary Clinton. Are you KIDDING me?

This is the only good use for this rag.

1.What’s in it for these two characters, how do they benefit.

They are the two leaders of the military-industrial wing of the republican party. Their power and influence comes from selling arms, of which they have done an awful lot of in past administrations, even the Obama administration. In order to sell arms, you need an enemy.

All Trump needs to do is sign an EO opening the Vietnam MIA and other records that Kerry and McCain made sure were hidden from the American People’s eyes. Jon knows DJT knows what is in them and he is showing fear— already being defensive. He didn’t get the nickname “songbird” for no reason. There is no excuse for Linda’s actions.

These two old, know-nothing political hacks wouldn't recognize a new thought, new approach, new attitude to anything if it bit them in the ass. Two miserable, hangers-on are a disgrace and embarrassment to the fools who elected them. Soon relegated to the garbage cans of history. Tragic. Pitiful.

Perhaps Trump should be allowed to talk to Putin, as POTUS, before he gets roped into anything that will further reduce the possibility of a peaceful resolution of our troubles. And furthermore, AS POTUS, I think he is entitled to intelligence briefings from his intelligence agency, not Obama's before he commits to any major foreign policy decisions.

Sen. McCain is on public record calling for an Act of War against Russia, it could be shooting down Russian planes or sinking Russian ships or a preemptive Nuclear strike.
Just shooting down several Russian planes would, step at a time, lead to a World War.
Sen. McCain and his ultra hawk buddies in politics and the Media are being irresponsible.

Hey! I know!! Let’s ask the Russians for the dossier on McCain and Graham to be released. I’m sure they have them. The Russians might be hesitant to give up two such valuable assets, no one has done more damage to American interests than these two, but if we ask really nice......

12 more days of all this pontificating and yapping to lay any possible diminishing of the new administration any of these political idiots can dredge up. Then the real executive takes command and handles it in a brutal business fashion of Take-No Prisoners attitude and they will slither away hoping that nobody notices them.
