FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) — Federal law enforcement sources said the suspected gunman in a deadly attack at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport got into an argument during his flight from Alaska to Florida.
They’re now investigating whether that’s what set off a shooting rampage that left 5 dead and 8 others wounded.
Esteban Santiago-Ruiz, 26, took a flight from Alaska to Florida Friday with a stop in Minnesota, officials said. Somewhere along the way, he got into an argument.
According to Broward Commissioner Chip LaMarca, Santiago-Ruiz arrived from a flight with a gun that he checked in.

Well everyone passes the buck.He was investigated by HLS for child porn but they let it go.He went AOL in 2015 and yet he got a general discharge.He walked into an FBI office and said he was being forced to watch IsIs video’s.They sent him to the hospital.That was in Nov.16.He was on the watch list.So 5 people are dead because no=one followed through.

Being a foreign carrier, it's unlikely Air Canada flies to FLL from a US city.
Air Canada doesn’t fly the Anchorage - Minneapolis-Fort Lauderdale route but Delta does.
He came in through Alaska,they are trying to build up a nuts charge on him but pictures are showing ISIS signs with his hands years ago.

He probably had a pizzing contest with one or more people on the plane, saw them in baggage claim, flipped out, retrieved his legally checked handgun, went to bathroom, loaded it, returned to baggage claim, found them getting bags off same flight he was on, and opened fire.

People argue on planes all day long. THE very worst US flights ever were from NYC to MIA full of cranky pushy nasty rude people. They would fight the entire time in loud voices.
They’d be fighting for seats, pillows, magazines, luggage space, peanuts, food, blankets, water, arm rest, coffee, the toilet!!! Anything FREE. It was horrid. Had the flight been longer, throwing each other out of the emergency exit would have been the norm. Nearly all white, too.
Landings were insane. No one would observe the seat belt signs, the second the pilot activated the sign they all jumped up to access the overheads. They’d be lining up in the aisles before the plane touched down. Cra-Crazy. Unless you had a baby in your arms, they would knock you over to depart. And the crowd would race to the baggage claim for positioning and fight to angle the bag-grabs. Just horrid.
Easier to get molested by TSA than ride with these pushy nasty people for hours.
If Santiago hadn’t shot the place up, you never would have heard a peep about any argument onboard. 99.999% of people who check a gun that may have an onboard argument will retrieve the gun, jump in a cab and be gone. This guys the first.
No airline is responsibility for Santiago’s insane mass murder.
