ISIS’ index finger signal is a gesture with the index finger raised up from an otherwise closed hand. For followers of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant it is often used as a sign of their cause.[1]

The gesture is alluding to tawhid, the indivisible oneness concept of monotheism in Islam.[1] All adherents to the Muslim faith believe in tawhid. Thus, many mainstream Muslims believe that ISIL militants have corrupted the meaning of this symbol, which has a history of being used in a non-violent manner throughout the Muslim world.

Isn’t that the ISIS sign he makes with his index finger? Then there is that muzzie beard and typical Arab rag around his neck(it’s called a gutra in Saudi).
