Democrats’ strategy to snarl nominations: Demand more information
The Washington Times ^ | January 5, 2017 | S.A. Miller and Stephen Dinan

Left without the power to filibuster, Democrats are settling on another strategy to derail President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees: Demand more information.

It’s the same tactic that helped Democrats sink some nominees the last time they were in the minority, during the George W. Bush administration. But they may have dented their own cause by powering through President Obama’s picks and drawing a road map that Republicans will now employ to confirm Mr. Trump’s nominations.

The first target for the strategy is Rep. Tom Price, the anti-Obamacare crusader whom Mr. Trump tapped to run the Department of Health and Human Services.

Senate Democrats demanded Thursday that Mr. Price’s nomination be put on hold until after Congress investigates his stock trades involving health care companies, even as he worked on health care policy on Capitol Hill.

It would have been funnier if I wasn’t too lazy to post a Pelosi picture with it.

“...support our tradition of a peaceful transition of power...” More unadulterated BS from the Democrats, aided by their allies on the other side of the nonexistent aisle.

The Left is going to attack Trump in every vicious way they can, especially with a powerful ally like the MSM.

Trump has to fight back. He has to use every weapon at his disposal. He should not hesitate in attacking them back any way he can. He cannot be soft.

He should not make the mistake of trying to reason with these people. The Left is out to destroy him in any and every way they can.

Captain Terrell: Sir, I demand...

Khan: You are in a position to "demand" nothing. I, on the other hand, am in a position to "grant" nothing.

Trump needs to go after vulnerable Democrats. Those up for reelection in 2018. He needs to call them out by name.

I think anyone who compiles the report on Price should also research the stock trading profiles and busisess contacts with any level of Government - of all the other members of Congress and the Senate - and their spouses and family members- and their staffs- and their campaign donors - just to determine what is “typical”

Trump’s people should request that information now- pro actively

Trump is not encumbered by the past norms of either party. He will roll over them like a steamroller. They have never dealt with someone like this - not subject to the usual pressure points of professional politicians.

When I worked in the defense industry one way to kill an idea was to keep demanding more information until the presenter couldn’t comply. Then, they’d say, “Well, if you don’t know that, we certainly can’t take the risk of implementing this.” There will always be unknowns.

Well then let’s see a report on all the lobbyist communications and donations going to all who are voting on the nomination(s).

Then next to their names on social media should the lobby list of logos and names kinda like how race cars have corporate sponsorships..

That should shut them up and drain the swamp real fast!
