President-elect Donald Trump has fired, effective Inauguration Day January 20, every U.S. ambassador politically appointed by President Barack Obama, according to a report published Thursday night by the New York Times.
The Times reports the State Department sent out a notice on December 23 informing the ambassadors of Trumps order. The move sent shock waves through the diplomatic corps as some ambassadors in previous transitions had been given time to leave their post for personal convenience.

My experience was when working for a big oil field company in Texas.
One day a crew supervisor was talking to the manager of the whole base of operations, who happened to be black.
As the supervisor was talking to the boss, his small son was tugging on his pants leg.
Finally the guy said, yes what is it?
The kid pointed to the manager and asked “Daddy, who's that n-——.”
The manager didn't take offense as it was common practice in homes where there is generational racism for kids to be matter of fact about what they learn at home.
I never saw any racism exhibited by the kids father.
Interesting that even though I had some white friends while working there, my closest friends were blacks and Mexicans.
Everyone got along fine in the oilfield, but with some of the whites you could sense an air of superiority.
I must say, they didn't have as good of a sense of humor as the guys I was close friends with.
Oh and BTW the way we can tell who are sexual deviants here in Calif is their use of sentence structure, a quote:
"California has more sexual deviants the the rest of the world combined."
LOL just kidding...
One guy told me you are from California? All they have out there is deers and queers, which are you? lol
I also found out that being from Calif my DL was only good for driving on roads heading out of Texas.
I passed both of those "tests"...
A president can appoint a czar for life like SCOTUS judges?
I doubt it.
Czar is a made up term.
Look at your other reply, there’s a new sheriff in town!
Trump can make them ineffective if it is difficult to fire them.
Just appoint somebody in a superior position to them.
Trump is picking up politics quite quickly.
Van Jones was a czar (green czar how ironic as he is super racist) and because of his past as a criminal ex-con communist thug he was forced to resign.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
I’d heard that DJT’s ex, Ivana, wants to be Ambassador to somewhere — Czechoslovakia, I think. Her home country.

That is a relief. Kennedy is a total joke as Ambassador to Japan... She is just one example!
It’s tough to tell those people from the unprincipled self-serving collaborators. Unless there is actual evidence that they tried to undermine implementation of anti-American policies, better to clean house first to be sure you don’t leave moles in place, then go back and do careful vetting before assigning them someplace else.
Remember, people are already talking about how Obama intends to run a “shadow government”. That means moles in the bureaucracy. I would not leave anybody in their existing positions at least three levels down from the top. Replace them and put the old guard out to early retirement, rubber rooms, study groups, or whatever. Leave them zero access. Promote lower level people whose evaluations are bad from the Obama crowd but were good from the Bush era. Or bring in outside people, since the Bush era had plenty of flaws.
I hope Trump revamps the compensation scheme for Federal workers and removing the upper management layers is the time to do it. Pay based on seniority and how many staff you have is no way to reduce the size and scope of government. Bonuses should be for solving problems and eliminating the staff that it took to solve it, not for growing staff to handle worsening problems. That incentivizes worsening the problem.
Oh for heaven’s sake. Was that a way to force the Dominican Republic to recognize such marriages? In my view, it is not the business of an embassy to meddle in something like that. If they are going to meddle, meddle in something like surreptitiously helping Christians being murdered for their faith by Muslim mobs in the Middle East. Thank goodness these nutty ambassadors are being dismissed.
He is not honest for one thine. If you want known liars in political offices go back and install the Democrats again. He did not hand the Presidency to anyone. His political life has been dedicated to protecting and serving Clintons.
December 23 - that date rings a bell.
What happened on Dec 23 - oh, that's the date that the Lame Duck Obama Administration went rogue and engineered a diplomatic ambush of Israel and the Middle East Peace Process in contravention to established agreements.
Guess Trump wants those Obama diplomats out the picture so they can do no ore damage.
Is that right? I was unaware that had been let out yet. Thanks fore the heads up.
Keeping Bharara as US Attorney for NY’s Southern District (Manhattan) was an early call by Trump. Below is a link to one story; there are many. The guy is a latter day Elliot Ness.
That was enlightening and appreciated. Excellent man. Trump is pragmatic and balanced but he is without equivocation for AMERICA. May God bless Donald TRUMP as our President of these UNITED STATES. If you don’t like it— SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP!!
This is it! Trumps poll numbers will tank now I tell ya!
THIS COUNTS AS A WIN...
FU you muslim, marxist, manchurian, narcissistic household item...(an inside reference due to an interaction with a certain person between a few of my friends. You might be able to guess what it means.)
