Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) let slip a terrifying reality when it comes to the power of our nation's president over "executive branch" agencies like the CIA. In an interview Tuesday with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, Schumer said President-elect Donald Trump is "being really dumb" by taking on the intelligence community because if he does "they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you."
Just let that soak in for a minute.
One of the most powerful senators just admitted that it is "stupid" for a president to oppose the intelligence community, which he is in charge of, because it will "[get] back at you."
Maddow, perhaps realizing the gravity of what he just said, questioned Schumer further asking skeptically: "what do you think the intelligence community would do, if they were motivated to?"
"I don't know... but from what I am told, they are VERY upset with how he has treated them and talked about them...," Schumer said.

The CIA really DID try and fail to kill Castro a whole bunch of times.
Typically spooks are a threat to political leadership because they know where all the bodies are buried. I doubt that’s the case with Trump. No one believed he would ever become POTUS even a year ago.

The CIA/NSA etc... have rather ham hamhandedly painted themselves into a corner with this brazenly open foray into partisan politics and soft coup attempt. I had a lot of respect for these people at one time but over time have come to view them as enemies of freedom, especially when the warrant less searches on US citizens as a whole came out into public view. This was clearly against the law and blatantly NKVD like behavior.
The intel community can clean themselves up and try and look respectable or continue their downward slide into corruption and take on the same reputations as the IRS, VA and ATF, bottom dwellers.
That bunch IS making Ed Snowden look better with every passing day.

Schumer has just accused the CIA of vigilantism and operating outside the law.
If Schumer is right, more reason to drain the swamp.

The good folks inside the CIA need to rid the agency of the bad folks inside the CIA. Schmuky knew exactly what he meant and I pray Trump won’t die by their hand.
Even if Schmucky steps down, his party will continue his rhetoric.

Why wasn’t Clapper charged for lying to Congress after he denied, under oath, that the NSA was spying on American Communications.
It’s a sure bet that Smucker has so much to hide that he has to fear the CIA. They have already taken their best shot at Trump and failed. That swamp water isn’t as safe for the gators.
