Schumer: Trump "dumb" for crossing CIA - "they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you"
SOTT ^ | 1/5/2016 | James Henry

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) let slip a terrifying reality when it comes to the power of our nation's president over "executive branch" agencies like the CIA. In an interview Tuesday with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, Schumer said President-elect Donald Trump is "being really dumb" by taking on the intelligence community because if he does "they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you."

Just let that soak in for a minute.

One of the most powerful senators just admitted that it is "stupid" for a president to oppose the intelligence community, which he is in charge of, because it will "[get] back at you."

Maddow, perhaps realizing the gravity of what he just said, questioned Schumer further asking skeptically: "what do you think the intelligence community would do, if they were motivated to?"

"I don't know... but from what I am told, they are VERY upset with how he has treated them and talked about them...," Schumer said.

So who’s in charge? Is Schumer taking his directions from the CIA? I thought he was supposed to represent the people of New York State?

Brennan is Obama’s most loyal acolyte. Obama’s commissars have permeated the CIA. It will take the Trump Administration (Steve Bannon), a while to purge that agency, reform it and again make it an effective servant of the American people.

This guy is truly a clown . I have never heard such sophomoric gibberish from any United States Senator in my life ( and I listen carefully). This is fantasy world hallucination on steroids. Trump will totally dominate the intelligence community within a new york minute after he is sworn in. He is planning to drain their swamp immediately. Entire overlapping agencies will be terminated.
I am really not certain that upchuck Schumer does not need professional help. I think he is cracking up under the pressure of his new minority job.

Sure sounds like he is. I’d call him out on this. Someone needs to follow up on this. What does he mean? How would they get back at him?

Definition of a “major gaffe” — A politician telling the truth.

CIA has spent decades creating its own sources of funds apart from the Federal budget, even the black budget.

They have become a somewhat autonomous power center, and certainly will defend that power.

He says the CIA is very mad at Trump and we are supposed to take the CIA’s word that Russia hacked the election? (But won’t offer proof.)

The 20th can’t come soon enough.

Trump needs to order a fleet of dumpsters for Langley on day one and transport the waste to a mulch plant

Oh, and Chuckie, even if this were true, I’d bet that the CIA doesn’t thank you for bringing it to the attention of the media and the world like this. Now they’re in the spotlight.

In the last 30 years the CIA has become an ineffective "all bark and no bite" agency.

They're running solely on "reputation" NOT results.

Their weaknesses have been revealed over and over again.

Is Schumer threatening Trump? Was there not a rumor at one time that JFK’s death had something to do with the government’s intelligence gathering body?

So many agenices to defund, so little time. I’d be having a field day, were I President Trump, slashing budgets. I’d be like a kid in a candy store, not knowing where to begin with so many tasty choices. NPR, EPA...

Seriously?
