Toyota Motor said will build a new plant in Baja, Mexico, to build Corolla cars for U.S. NO WAY! Build plant in U.S. or pay big border tax.
I thought Toyota already had plants in the US?
Perfectly reasonable. The Chinese demand it all the time as well as the EU.
Are the GOPe Rino in the House on board with this? Do they understand November 8th?

We already build Toyota trucks here in San Antonio. No reason why Toyota can’t tool up a new factory to build Corollas here in the Lone Star State.

Hope he can convince them... we are loyal to Toyota in TX (although I drive F-1/250s).
Toyota already has a factory about 10 miles outside of Tijuana where they manufacture the four door Toyota Tundra small trucks. The finished trucks are “trucked” across the border into San Diego and loaded onto trains.

Corollas are built in a pretty new Mississippi plant. I wonder if the Mexican plant isn’t going to build the world version Corolla rather than the North American version.

Toyota can build their cars wherever they want to. And the American people can elect a protectionist President that will slap an import duty on their asses. That’s how it works.
No tax needed if they just build in the US
