Instead of blaming the racial group where 90% of the murders are concentrated, the Black reporter blamed the Chicago Police because statistics show the cops, Black and White, basically have stopped doing anything in the ghettos other than responding to 911 calls.
Since the attitude in that ghetto is now to kill as many cops as possible, and criminals and murders are the new "street heroes", who would blame the police officers.... except the MSM?
Of course, if those same police were to attempt any aggressive pre-crime prevention policing programs, 60 Minutes would be the first to claim racial discrimination.

I saw short clips of this on the local morning news. It brought tears to my eyes. This poor kid was held from “24 to 48 hours” (according to the news report). I can’t even imagine what his parents went through during... and now after (watching him forced to drink dirty toilet water and beaten). Why is this not kidnapping? Why is there any question that this is a hate crime? Reverse this... four white people abduct, torture, beat, cut.. a black person... people would be beyond rage.
This is domestic terrorism. And should be treated as terrorism. And all perpetrators should be punished as terrorists.
In addition, elements of this form of domestic terrorism may also have international links to Alt-Left terrorists in foreign countries.
The official auspices of government including the DOJ needs to sweep in and look for all terrorists involved in these cells and all possible “lone wolf” terrorists who want to kill white people and murder cops.

An 18-year-old girl who posted a Facebook Live video showing a man with special needs being tied up, tortured and beaten in a Chicago home is in police custody with three friends, authorities say.
Brittany Herring streamed the video live on Facebook on Tuesday while she and three men taunted and attacked the victim, a resident of a Chicago suburb, police said.
Along with Herring, who also goes by the name Brittany Covington, two unidentified males and a female are in custody. They are all 18.
The victim, also 18, had last been seen by his parents on December 31, and they told police they received texts from his captors while he was with them, WLS-TV reports. His parents live in Streamwood, Illinois, a suburb in Cook County, and police there are also investigating the case.
He was hospitalized after the assault, but was in stable condition on Wednesday, police said.
