New United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres spoke with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday, and the two had "a very positive discussion on U.S./U.N. relations," said a U.N. spokesman, a week after Trump slammed the world body on Twitter.

I think that Trump needs to keep the pressure on the UN, instead of playing nice with them or accepting their false kudos. Trump needs to tell the new UN Chief, that he has 3 weeks (until Jan 20 - same day as inauguration) to completely reverse & nullify the UN resolution passed against Israel, which was set up by f*****n odumbo & Jean Effn Kerry. If the resolution is not reversed & nullified by then, than all US financial support gets stopped immediately the a notice of eviction is served to the UN.

Trump needs to play the game the way that odumbo played it, by constantly doubling down and not giving up a single inch.

The tweet assumes that all ex-pats are demonrats.

My experience living in Asia since 1991 is that the assumption is a presumption and it isn’t true.

The most common job of an ex-pat are Missionaries, School Teachers and (I think) Engineers followed by bank and Finance.

The missionaries tend to be republicans as do, a lot of the teachers who work in Christian schools. The rest are split between the parties.

US Ex-pats also tend to be (In my experience) predominantly from the midWest and South or Californicate. Thus they’d have bolstered the Trump wins in some states or not mattered

I would be willing to bet that getting all ex-pats to vote would have added votes to Trump’s total.

Just my take

Trump ends many of his productive meetings with “You’re Fired!”
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Well let us hope that he ends many more the same way to drain the swamp.

The UN is not a country. We do not need “relations” with it.

If not for our tax dollars it would immediately cease to exist.

We subsidize their hatred.

That’s just wrong.

Well and truly said, T-bone, and it needs to be said at every mention of that cabal of anti-American globalists.

Get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US PE Trump.

I for one am tired of seeing this socialist form of representation use my money and our brave soldiers to further THEIR agenda. After the vote against Israel, they need to be shutdown and disbanded.

No further talks needed

More and more I am convinced we can assume nothing until after Jan 20. There is too much contradiction. At times Trump seems like everything we hoped and at times it seems like it was all to get elected. We just won’t know until he’s in for awhile. I do know GOPe is just worthless, just look at the BS ACA repeal which is just going to leave with something worse.

According to this headline, both Trump and the UN Secretary disparaged the UN prior to this meeting.

Trust but verify.

He's not even taken the oath of office yet and already he's saving jobs and generating new jobs by the thousands. I'd say he's off to a good start in terms of the verification end.
